TERM PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: (10 marks)

1. Form a group of not more than 5 persons


2. Select a Company – Discuss and have it approved by the course instructor
3. Collect information and carry out a report on the given format.
4. The report should be of minimum 20 pages (A4 size)
5. The text should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 (apart from exceptions like title
page, headings etc.), and line spacing 1.5
6. Page numbers should be given with header
7. Submit by the 15th teaching session
8. Late submission will carry a penalty

Format of Report
First Page:
Name of the group members, Reg No#, Name of the Company, Date of submission,
Instructors Name, Course Name, University Name, IU logo and Border on the page.

Second Page:
Acknowledgements: To the people who supported and guided you in completing the report

Third Page:
Executive Summary: Short summary about the whole report

FourthPage:
Table of Contents: List all the contents of the report with their page numbers

Fifth Page:
List of Tables: List of all the figures used in the report with their page numbers.

Section 1:

Company Description:A short Description about what is the company, its businesses, the
markets in which it operates, the products it offers, its business partners, its geographic
location, its branches, its owners, its industry, its competitors etc.

 Environmental uncertainty matrix (where does it lie in the matrix)
 Type of Environment (Dynamic/Stable, mechanistic/organic organization)
 Hiring, Selection, training and compensation of employees (all the policies and
procedures pertinent to them)
 Type of structure design
 Structure elements (use the 6 elements to define the structure in the organization)
 Which of the five forms of departmentalization is used in the company
Section 3:

3. Leading
 How to motivate people (Incentives/ Bonus/ Benefits)
 Diversity (Male/female ratio, how many cultures and religions and ethnicity do
they belong)
 Leadership style (democratic, autocratic, laissez faire OR directive, analytic,
conceptual or humanistic)

 Standard operating Procedures
 Performance measures
 Standards and Quality checks (ISO)

Conclusion/ Recommendations

 Along with the report, each group must present using power point slides.
 You have to use added material such as photographs, videos, interviews or research
questionnaires to support your report (Any 1 of them)
