COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM
COURSE DESIGN
COURSE DESCRIPTION :
This course is designed to teach beginner Japanese Language that includes many
elementary grammar patterns and vocabularies (Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5) for
the purpose of living and working in Japan.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidate/trainee must reach/poses any of the following qualification:
● Can communicate both oral and in written
● Physically and mentally fit
● With good moral character
● At least High School graduate

MODULE DESCRIPTOR :
This unit of competency covers the knowledge, skills and attitudes in constructing simple
sentences. It includes Japanese vocabulary and kanji of JLPT N5 level.
LO4: Discuss and use demonstrative pronouns referring to place, tell where the
subject is, learn to use classifier for floors, modify a noun, express time and
days of a week, express starting point and ending point and conjugate nouns
into past tense form.
LO5: Express year, month, days of a month, ask when an action will take place,
classify grouping of verbs, conjugate verbs polite form into present positive
tense, past positive tense, present negative tense, past negative tense and

LO6: Discuss and use the directional verbs, use particle for means or way of
transportation, memorize the fixed particles of some verbs, invite someone to
