WHAT YOU NEED:

 Blue yarn, beige yarn, white yarn, red yarn, black yarn
 White felt, black felt, yellow felt
 Hook (I used a 3.5mm hook with Caron Simply Soft Yarn)
 Fiberfill
 Fabric glue
 White fabric painting (optional)
 Yarn needle
 Stitch marker (optional)

This pattern works in continuous rounds.

Rnd 1: start in 2nd ch from hook, 22 sc on
both sides [44]
Rnd 2: 6sc, 3hdc, 4dc, 3hdc, 6sc, 8sc, hdc,
dc, 2tr, dc, hdc, 8sc [44]
Slst in next st and leave a tail for sewing.

NOSE

In black yarn
Rnd 1: 4 sc in magic ring [4]
Rnd 2-4: 4 sc [4]
Slst in next st, leave a tail for sewing. Don’t
sew the nose on the mouth yet.

EARS (MAKE TWO)

Start in beige yarn, ch 2

Rnd 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook, ch 1, turn
[1]
Rnd 2: inc, ch 1, turn [2]
Rnd 3: inc 2x, ch 1, turn [4]
Rnd 4: inc, 2sc, inc, ch1, turn [6]
Rnd 5: 6 sc [6]
Fasten off. Now you’re going to make the
blue part of the ear.
Rnd 1: Take your blue yarn and sc on two
sides of the ear, then ch 1, turn [11]
Rnd 2: FLO 5 sc, inc, 5 sc [12]

Slst, leave a tail for closing the back of the Slst in next st and stuff. Leave a tail for
ear and sewing it. sewing.
You are going to assemble the head now.
Start by cutting a piece of white felt the
LARGE SPIKES (MAKE SIX)
shape of the eyes. With blue yarn, make a
chain long enough to go around the eyes
(see the picture). With black yarn,
embroider a small mouth. Sew the mouth,
the nose, fix the white part of the eyes with
fabric glue and add small pieces of black
felt to complete the eyes. I used white

use a small piece of white felt. Sew the Rnd 5: (2sc, inc) 2x [8]
chain you just made around the eyes.
Rnd 6: 8 sc [8]
Sew the ears on the head and sew the
spikes on the back of the head. Rnd 7: (3sc, inc) 2x [10]

Tip: I like to fold the spikes to get the exact Rnd 8: 10 sc [10]
shape I want. Rnd 9: inc 2x, 8 sc [12]
Now that the head is complete, you can Rnd 10: 12 sc [12]
sew it on the body. Slst in next st and stuff. Leave a tail for
sewing.
SPIKE (BODY)

In blue yarn LEGS (MAKE TWO)

Rnd 1: 4 sc in magic ring [4] Start with red yarn

the back, like a door. Sc to start closing the
Rnd 2: 4 sc [4] trap [8], then sc to close the heel [6].
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) 2x [6] Fasten off and turn shoe inside out. The
wrong side should be on the inside.

Rnd 3: 18 dc [18]
Slst, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew the socks
around the feet. They should fit loosely.

WHITE STRIPES (MAKE TWO)

In white yarn, ch 16
Rnd 1: start in 3rd chain from hook, 14 dc
[14]
Slst, leave a tail for sewing. Sew on the feet.
Using yellow felt, cut out small buckles to
glue on the feet.

Rnd 1: take your red yarn again and

crochet 15 sc around the hole left on the
foot [15]
Change for blue yarn. Stuff the foot with
fiberfill and continue stuffing as you go.
Rnd 2: (sc, dec) 5x [10]
Rnd 3-17: 10 sc [10]
Slst in next st. Finish stuffing and leave a tail
for sewing.

SOCKS (MAKE 2)

In white yarn, ch 20
Rnd 1: start in 3rd chain from hook, 18 dc,
ch 2, turn [18]
Rnd 2: 18 dc, ch 2, turn [18] ARMS (MAKE TWO)

Start in white yarn. The hands are made in Rnd 2: 12 sc [12]

two parts, then joined together. Rnd 3: (2sc, inc) 4x [16]
THUMB: Rnd 4-6: 16 sc [16]
Rnd 1: 4 sc in magic ring [4] Rnd 7: You are going to join this part with
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) 2x [6] the thumb. Continue working 4 sc around
the thumb, skip 2 st on both thumb and the
Rnd 3-5: 6 sc [6] larger part, 14 sc around the larger part
Slst in next st and leave a small tail. [18]
Using the yarn tail left from the thumb,
close the small hole. Start stuffing and
continue as you go.
Rnd 8: (sc, dec) 6x [12]
Rnd 9-10: 12 sc [12]
Change for beige yarn
Rnd 11: (4sc, dec) 2x [10]
Rnd 12-20: 10 sc [10]
Rnd 21: dec 5x [5]
Slst in next st. Finish stuffing and leave a tail
for sewing.

CUFFS (MAKE TWO)

In white yarn, ch 18
Rnd 1: start in 3rd chain from hook, 16 dc,
ch 1, turn [16]
Rnd 2: 16 dc, ch 1, turn [16]
Rnd 3: 16 dc [16]
Slst and leave a tail for sewing. Sew on the
arms. They should fit loosely.
Sew the legs and the arms on the body,
LARGER PART: then the spikes on the back.
In white yarn, ch 7
Rnd 1: start in 2nd chain from hook, 6 sc on
both sides of the chain [12]
