Reflection On Child Allocation Act - AnieteJen
The Child Allocation Act that has been depicted in the film was all about restricting every family to
have more than one child and there shouldn't be any siblings or unwanted pregnancies come along. This is
their way to combat overpopulation.
It helped the society by overcoming the famine being experienced with their constituents. There
wouldn't be great demand for resources and would create an increase in their economy. However, the
hidden purpose of it where, those unwanted siblings were being killed instead of putting them to sleep as
promised wasn't totally helpful.
Looking further at it, for me it is a bad law since it was like martial law. It was an evil-looking policy
that enforces one-child per family. This preventive measure wasn't in place since there are available birth
controls and family planning strategies that could be means of resisting overpopulation.
