Parihara Sthalams

Parihara sthalams

The topic of ‘Parihara sthalams’ is an ocean and can’t be compiled just

like that. Thanks to Sri Sankara Narayanan who gave the bulk of the
information. I request the readers to add value to this list with the
temples they know but I request to add only the genuine and very
important temples for a specific problem. This is a dynamic list and so
will be updated as and when I get some new information.

Note:

1. I don’t know the alphabet of Astrology and this is NOT an an

astrological site. So please don’t send your horoscope / birth-star details
with your problem descriptions asking me for remedy. I’m not into that
business and unfortunately I will not be able to publish such comments
since it will easily take away the focus of this page. This is just a general
list of temples that can give remedy for a particular problem and please
use it that way.

2. I just received a very detailed and wonderful book on this topic by

Mr.Radhakrishnan of Thimmakudi (Kumbakonam) for Rs 150/=
மனனித வவாழ்க்ககையும இகறையருளும (பரிகைவாரத தலங்கைள)
The book is available from their offices at Kumbakonam @ 0435
2422347. It gives almost all the information you needed on this topic for
all kinds of problems.

3. It is very well understandable that all the problems we face today are
due to the Karma of our current or the previous births. So we have to be
very careful that we don’t add up to our bad karmas in the current birth to
wander again to parihara sthalams in the next birth.
Sri AMR of Kumudham Jyothidam, in one of his articles says there is no
point in going for a pariharam for Athrities and knee pains when we have
animals / birds in the name of pets within cages / glass boxes for their
life time. Any type/amount of pariharam is not going to give any remedy.
So before we look up for a Parihara sthalam, let us look within ourselves
and make sure that we are not doing anything now to add up to the
burden of our existing bad karmas.

4. Last but not least, today (12.07.2015) I’ve decided to publish any
more requests seeking details of pariharam for various ailments
ONLY WHEN you contribute to any of the activities listed in the
‘Needs Attention’ category, however small it is – even a 100 Rs
contribution is ok. So please include your contributtion details also
in your comment section to enable it getting published. Your
contribution itself, as such, may solve the problem, who knows.
However, readers replying to others’ problems may please continue
as before.

Respected Sir

It has been great reading parihara sthalam,

temples are the abode of God which is really a great place to repent for
all the sins done by mankind.

It would be great if few more temples are included in the list of Parihara
sthalams like Lalithambigai temple near Kumbakonam, Brahma Guru
temple near Tiruchy and Ranganathar temple in Tiruchy

These two temples in and around Tiruchy are very powerful as it houses
the greatest saints penance and the vibration which could be felt is un
explainable.
The ancient temples in south India really requires the governments
attention as it is the greatest treasure of this land and cannot be rebuilt in
the same ambiance

Hi VIdya, please remember that although you have done parihara

poojas, that does not mean that Rahu/kethu dosha will just
disappear like that. Parihara means propitiate ie lessens the effects
the dosha, not nullify. I would suggest that you continually do
prayers for the overlord for Rahu/Ketu for your whole life.

HI VIDYA, FOR RAHU KETHU DOSHA YOU HAVE TO PERFORM

RAHU KETHU POOJA [IN RAHUKALA TIME] IN KALAHASTHI FOR
EVERY 11/2 YEARS THAT IS 18 MONTHS TILL YOU ARE
ATTAINING THE AGE OF 49 YEARS.RAHU RELEASE YOU AT THE
AGE OF 42 AND KETHU 49.
AFTER PERFORMING POOJA DO NOT VISIT OTHER TEMPLES
DIRECTLY GO HOME.

One temple is in Tirunindravur /Tinnannur (Rly Station- Chennai-

Trivellore route) around 30 kms from Chennai.Good roads are there.I
was told that Maanthi is the son of Saneeswarar. An ancient temple,
(similar to Chidambaram) there is Manthi vigraham and on Sundays
special poojas are conducted at 9,00 a.m.and they charge 600/- for
the pooja. Other days they do not offer any pooja to Maanthi.

The Best Place for Pithru Tharpanam is Rameswaram / Danushkodi

and the full details are in this Blog itself. There you can do rituals as
per your capacity and with full belief and confidence as per pandits
advise. All details have been given by Mr Raju in this blog nicely.
Secondly in my opinion purva janma karma may not have negative
effect as as per our Shastras the effects have to be born by Male
members /karthas only. Our religion places ladies equivalent to god.
Late marriage may be due to other astrological reasons of planets
related.
For marriage there are many temples listed above. There are many
temples where Lord Shiva marriage celebrated OR Shivas marriage
was shown to Agasthia as a live telecast on his wish. All these places
can be visited.
All the temples with dieties name contain ” kalyana” or “Thirumana” or
” mangala” can be visited.Sister shall accompany to all temples. Even
in rameswaram/danushkodi dip in holy water is auspicious.
If u r a sai devotee, please ask ur sister do shirdi sai vratha poojah in
house for 7 thursdays continuously in the morning and take food after
poojah. After completing seventh thursday poojah donate a saree with
manglik things to a poor lady. Shirdi Sai will hear and solve the
problems without fail.

Sir,
There can not be any better place than Rameswaram (along with
Dhanushkodi snanam) for Pithru dhosham. Thila tharpana homam or
Eka dhasa Rudhra homam is recommended. Otherwise, you can go to
Thilatharpanapuri near Mayliaduthurai which is also considered
equivalent to Rameswaram.

The ‘Mullai Vana Natha Swami’ temple is situated in the state of

Tamilnadu, Tanjavur district. The Divine Mother Parvati is worshipped
here in the form of Garbarakshambigai , meaning ‘the Mother who
protects the womb.’

Lord Shiva here is specially worshipped to overcome incurable

diseases. The lingam is worshipped with the paste of mustard seeds
called ‘Punuku Chattam’ and the prasadam is then taken by the
devotees to overcome incurable diseases.

The above is in reply to Mr N Munusamy. The details of this temple are

There are village gods which are equally powerful and in some cases
more powerful than traditional gods.It will not be proper to compare
Gods and for just information sake.
One such Devi is at Pacheri near Manamadurai , on the otherside of
Vaigai
of Idaikattur. Eventhough the Temple belongs to Local Families , the
Goddess origin route back to Srirangam and Manaparai. Ambal is known
as Sri Nallathangal Amman and this is different from Nallathangal
Temple near Vathrayiruppu.
Amman is Khanyaa Goddess and Giving of Green Colour Paavaadai to
the Amman and five betel leaves with Thaamboolam will solve all the

Dear Sir,
Nice Article. One Such temple, where the goddess is so powerful and
may not be known well is “UTHAMA MEENAKSHI” at Vembathur near
Manamadurai. The Goddess has good wealth, though there is no one
these days to take care of the temple. Regular prayers are offered by
the brahmins near by. History is that, once, a king from Kerela, asked
for 1008 Brahmins from this Village to participate in a big Homam and
there were only 1007 available. To his miracle, Pillayar himself joined
the Yagam as the 1008th Brahmin.

Ettiathali is a small village , about 8 kms from Aranthangi in Pudukottai

Road. Agastheeswarar Temple , Akilandeswari Ambal and one Akila with
Navagrahams are speciality in the Temple. Agasthiar while returning to
North from south stayed here for doing Evening Nithya Karmas. He
made one Linga and worshipped . Shiva,Paravathy had some
misunderstandings at that time and Shiva asked Agasthiar to perform
Yagna to unite them. As per his innstructions Agasthiar made yagna and
made Akilandeswary as his Ambal and both are side by side in the
Temple. At the same time , Local King visited the village en route from
Thirunallaru to His Place , after visiting Thiurnallaru for for relief from his
ashtama sani. He sought advise from Agasthiar for the relief from
ashtama sani and Agasthiar instructed the King to construct a temple for
the Shiva , he prayed . King did the same way. Agasthiar installed
Navagrahas in a different postures . unique from normal posture . He
installed Akila – an invokation of Supreme Power of Navagrahas within
the Navagraha vigrahas. The King got releif from Ashtama Sani. This
Place is parihaara sthalam for Sani Doshams, Ashtama Sani , Rahu
Kethu Doshas – since Rahu & Kethu are in exchanged places here.
Similarly Akila controlling all the Grahas and good for all navagraha
doshas.Manamadurai sithar has advised this temple for formation of
child . The place Ettile Sani has been changedas Etiyathali in due
