To set up a static IP address on the Xerox 550/560, you need to log in as the system administrator, go to Protocol Settings under Connectivity and Network Setup, select Static, and enter the static IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address values.

To create a new scan template, log in to WebTools as admin, click the New Icon, enter a name for the template, select the scan destinations and settings, and click Done. The new template will appear in the Scan Templates list.

Installation Instructions
Installation Notes
Locate the Fiery Software CD kit that came with Xerox Color 550/560. You will need the EFI User
Software CD during the installation process. This CD contains the Print Driver for the EFI Integrated
controller, Command Workstation 5 and Fiery Remote Scan utilities.
The Bustled Fiery is setup for DHCP by default. Once it is first turned on it will print out a normal Fiery
Startup page, and this will list the IP address on it. (If this doesn't work, use Command WorkStation to
search on the network or print a System Settings list).
Some steps of the installation process may require admin rights on the customer’s workstation. For
admin rights, contact the companies’ system administrator.

Loading Command Workstation 5

EFI’s Command Workstation 5 is better suited for the 550/560 than CWS4. EFI is not supporting
CWS4 functions for the 550/560 unless those functions do not exist on CWS5. It is recommended
that all customers have CWS5 installed.

Follow the step below to remove CWS4 and to install CWS5. This step usually requires IT support for
admin rights to a customer’s workstation. This step is not necessary if CWS 4 is not installed on the
customer’s network. Once you remove CWS 4 the workstation will reboot and they will need to login
again as administrator in order to load CWS 5.

You can remove CWS 4 after you have loaded the print driver. After the reboot, login as administrator
again so you can load CWS 5.
1. Insert the EFI User Software CD into the workstation CD drive.
2. If the MasterInstaller doesn’t automatically start, browse the CD and double click on the
MasterInstaller.
3. Click Next at the Welcome screen.
4. Click the radio button to Accept license agreement, then Next.
5. Click Next to accept the default destination folder.
6. Put a checkmark in EFI Command Workstation and Fiery Remote Scan.
7. Uncheck all the others. See example below:
8. Restart the workstation after the installation.
9. Open CWS 5 and add all the available servers EFI controllers.
Note: CWS 5 has a different look and feel over CWS 4. If you are not familiar with CWS 5 you
might want to load it on your laptop or visit one of the local CBU’s for some hands on experience.
