STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT AT MASAI SCHOOL

“Masai School” refers to product of Nolan Edutech Private Limited


Student Code of Conduct: Rules and Regulations:
 The Student Code of Conduct (“Code”) sets out the standards of conduct required from
all students of Masai School (“School”). The Code along with the Income Sharing
Agreement (“ISA”) entered into between the parties, constitutes the entire agreement
between the parties. It holds individuals and groups responsible for the consequences of
their actions. Failure to fulfil these responsibilities may result in the withdrawal of
privileges or the imposition of sanctions including but not limited to termination from the
course, ban from sitting for demo days and placements, etc.
 The School reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or replace all or any part of
the Code at any time by notifying the students.
Attendance, Punctuality & Leave of Absence:
 Students must follow a six-day working schedule from Monday to Saturday. Classes are
scheduled from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
 Students are required to complete their coding assignments between 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm
Monday to Saturday and using the campus facilities including Wi-Fi and technical guide /
mentor help.
 Students must have a minimum attendance of 95% during the course duration in order to
sit for demo days and placements.
 Students must not miss classes while in School and must not leave the School campus
during School hours without prior permission of the concerned authorities.
 Students must strictly adhere to School timings. Students will not be permitted to enter
the School after commencement of School time. Students must report to class on time
after break or activity periods.
 In case of missing School, the student must present a leave application to the School duly
signed by the parents / legal guardians/ spouse, prior to taking such leave.
 In case of absenteeism due to illness, students must present a medical certificate to the
School.
 Leave of 02 days or more may only be taken with the prior permission of the chief
instructor.
 In lieu of missing significant number of classes, consequently being unable to catch up with
the curriculum, the student may be asked to attend the next upcoming batch. The School
shall have the sole right to determine whether the student is able to catch up or not and
whether the student requires to attend the next upcoming batch or not. The student/
parent / legal guardian / spouse will be liable to pay the campus fee of Rs. 8000 /= per
month per seat for any such upcoming batch.

Coding Assignments / Coding Projects Misconduct - Policy on Unfair means, Cheating, Forgery,
Impersonation, etc.
 Misconduct is defined as a violation of the Masai School standards of course integrity
and/or this Code, whether these violations are intentional or unintentional.
 Coding misconduct consists of cheating on coding assignments & projects, plagiarism on
an assignment, or unauthorized collaborative work.
 Submission of the same work in more than one course: When submitting any work to an
instructor for a course, it is assumed that the work was produced specifically for that
course. Submission of the same work in more than one course without prior approval is
prohibited.
Responsibilities of Students:
Students must:
 Treat all members of the School community with respect and courtesy.
 Do all required work within deadlines and to the best of the student’s ability.
 Treat the property, facilities and resources provided by the School to assist the student in
the course with care and diligence.
 Settle any disagreements by discussing the problem and seeking a solution that is fair to
all concerned.
Students must not:
 Bring any non-students onto School campus.
 Use foul or unparliamentary language.
 Smoke, drink or use any narcotic substances on campus.
 Bully, rag, harass or discriminate against any member of the School community.
 Use School campus facilities to send or view any obscene, offensive or illegal material.
 Behave in a manner, within or outside campus that may bring the School into disrepute or
malign the image of the School in any manner. This includes any criminal or antisocial
behaviour.
 Student agrees that he/she will not make any statements or communications that defame
or disparage the School, its business, services, products, customers, clients, affiliates or its
current, former, or future directors or executive officers, employees, etc. This provision
applies equally wherever such statements and/or interferences are made, including
statements made verbally and in writing, and including statements posted on the internet
or published in any other format.
 The following are not allowed in School unless prior permission is granted by the School
staff: potentially dangerous toys, pets, fireworks, weapons, alcohol, cigarettes, narcotics
other substances that may cause harm to other students or School personnel.

Disciplinary Measures that may be imposed under the Code include but are not limited to:
 Written warning, reprimand, suspension, during which the Student shall be required to fulfil
certain conditions & demonstrate good behavior.
 Student shall be required to issue an apology letter and the parents / legal guardians /
spouse shall be informed about such incident.
 Student may lose on certain privileges including but not limited to removal from Slack or
other such tools/ not being allowed to sit for demo day, code talkers, placements services.
 If a student receives more than 2 suspensions, the student may be expelled from the course.
Undertakings by the student, parent / legal guardian / spouse:
 I hereby undertake, if admitted, to attend live lectures (Minimum 95%) and all internal
assessments, tasks, assignments etc. in the School. If I fail to do so, I will be expelled from
the ongoing course.
 I hereby acknowledge and accept that in the event of my expulsion from the course due to
the breach of Code of conduct, the ISA (Income Sharing agreement) terms will apply and I/
my parent/ legal guardian/ spouse will be liable to pay:
a. Prorated fee amount as set out in the ISA, if expelled within the first 2-12 weeks;
or
b. Complete fee amount as set out in the ISA if expelled after completion of the
first 12 weeks.
 I hereby submit to the disciplinary jurisdiction of the authorities of the School, and shall
observe and abide by the rules made by them.
 All powers relating to discipline and disciplinary action in relation to the students of the
School shall vest with the CTO & CEO of School. The CEO & CTO may delegate all or any of
his powers as he deems fit, to such other officer as he may nominate in that behalf.
