The composer has written that '60s Swing' is intended to be played with a jazzy feelirrg and to sound as if improüsed. Bars 12-13, fur
are like an off-the-cuff retake on bb. 4-5. In the middle section (bb. L7-24), the'improvisation lies in üe bass - here one ca¡r irn'¡Eim ¡
of a double bass or trombone. The last two bars of üe piece are meant to sound like an echo.
