Lesson Plan in Computer Hardware Servicing Grade 9

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. Identify CHS materials, tools and equipment and their functions


b. Finds pleasure in using CHS materials, tools and equipment;
d. Skillfully demonstrate how these CHS materials, tools and equipment are used;

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic : CHS Materials, Tools and Equipment


Materials: Computer, pictures, actual, materials, tools and equipment

III. PROCEDURE:

A. Preparation
1. Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Checking of Assignments
3. Review

B. Motivation

Group students into two: each member of the group will be given pictures of materials,
tools and equipment and their functions, the other is the name and the definition/uses of
the of each materials, tools and equipment. Students holding the pictures of tools must
find the students having the right definitions/functions of that tools.
Pictures includes:

 Flat head Screwdrivers


 Philip head Screwdrivers
 Wire Cutter
 Needle Nose pliers
 Flashlight
 Cable Ties
 Lint free Cloth
 Multi meter

C. Setting of Objectives

Let the students read the objectives on the screen.

D. Presentation

1. Ask students of some CHS tools they know.


2. Discuss the following materials, tools and equipment and their functions.
3. Discuss the parts of each tools

1. Flathead screwdrivers
2. Philips screwdrivers
3. Torx screwdrivers
4. Hex Drivers
5. Long nose / Needle nose pliers
6. Wire Cutter
7. Multi tester
8. Part Retriever
9. Flashlight
10. Tweezers
11. Lint-free cloth
12. Cable Ties
13. Compress Air
14. Part Organizer
15. Loopback adapter
16. Anti-Static Wrist Trap

E. Verification

Ask students
1. What are the CHS materials, tools and equipment you have learned?
2. And what are their functions?
IV. APPLICATION

Given the actual tools, materials and equipments, ask each students to select a tool and
demonstrate how to use it.

V. EVALUATION

Name the following and state their functions.

VI. ASSIGNMENT

Research on Assembling and Disassembling of a Personal Computer.
