POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES
This study is conducted to be able to seek measures and compute factors that
are considered when it comes to the level of confidence of the PUP Sta. Mesa,
Manila Senior High School Grade students have, towards passing the Polytechnic
University of the Philippines – College Entrance Test (PUPCET) in relation to their
current chosen strand under academic track. Specifically, it aims to come up answers
on the following questions:

Table 1 shows the students’ profile by sex. Among the 50 respondents considered in
the study, 32 or 64% were female while 18 or 36% are male.

Table 2 shows the students’ profile by grade. Among the 50 respondents considered
in the study, 25 or 50% are Grade 11 and the other 25 or 50% are Grade 12.

Table 3 shows the students’ profile by age. Among the 50 respondents considered in
the study, 0% are 13-14 years old, and 19 years old and above. 20 respondents or
40% are 15-16 years old while 30 respondents or 60% are 17-18 years old.

Table 4 shows the students’ profile in their current strand taken. Among the 50
respondents considered in the study, 19 or 38% are ABM, 5 or 10% are HUMSS, 23
or 46% are STEM, and 3 or 6% are GAS.
