This bullcün is a guideline for rcsctting of A320 computcrs and systems, and also as an inboducüon to
CFDS. lt should also hclp ¡ou in thc ecccr¡s of informaüon rcquircd for maintcnenoa pcrsonncl whcn
feult finding on thc talcphonc. The rcsct ümcs, unlces othcnrisc süatcd, are a minimum rcset ümc. As a
gcncral rule, leave the circuit brcakar out as long as you can. F/CTL computcrs rcquire at lcast a four to
fivc minutes rcsct

lf a rcsct fails to rcstorc thc s¡atem, as a last rcsort, pouor down hc aircraft completcly for at lcast fir¡e
minutcs. lf ground ponrrr is availablc, cabin lights can bc powcrcd by iha ground maintcnance bus.

II{ FLIGHT:
As a gancral rulc, rcsctting by mcans of circuit brcakcrs must bc rcsbictcd to ütosc listcd in thc
proccdurcs. Bcforc taking any acüon on circuit brcakcrs not mcnüoncd in hc proccdurcs. Ütc
conssquoncos of such acüons must bc anücipatcd and fully undcrstood.

ON THE GROUND:
Rcsctting must be confined to circuit brcakers listcd bcllow in ordcr to regain control of thc rclcvant
systcm. lf necessary, howuvcr, ANY computcr must bc rcsct on he ground wiúr the cxccpüon of the
fullowing:

ECU and EIU if an engine running or BSCU if the aircraft is not staüonary.

NOTE: Lcngth of self tost is not rcsct ümc; This is thc rcquircd üme before computer or systcm will b€
fully oporaüonal after resct Computer or syetem can süll fail again in this ümc frame if ¡ou interferc with
