Overview T-Con issues

Replacing the T-Con board may solve any of the following issues.

1 No display

2. Colour failure
3. Gray

1. No display

The picture is totally black in any pattern and backlight is ON.


(‘Backlight ON’ can be seen at the rear side via the little holes in the panel.)

In some cases this defect could open the VCC fuse in T-Con due to Source Board
defect.

Usually VCC fuse is near to LVDS


Connector, just in 5/12 V input.

NOTE: If there is still no display after replacing the T-Con board, the panel
can be considered as non-repairable in the service field.
2. Colour failure

The image becomes saturated with unnatural colours.


3. Gray Scale Pattern failure

The gray scale pattern may appear distorted.


4. Whitish picture

In some cases, only half of the screen is affected.

1. Pixelation: Coloured pixels / dots visible.

2. Ghost effect: Haze visible.


3. Horizontal blocks

Issue 2 and 3 are caused by
