B Praak is the son of a well-known music director and composer, Varinder Bachchan. He belongs to a
Sikh family and is really affectionate towards his mother. He has a younger sister named Suhani
Bachchan. He tied the knot with his wife, Meera, on 4 April, 2019 in Zirakpur.
B Praak Bio

B Praak is a Singer, Music Composer and Music Director in the Punjabi Music Industry. He rose to fame
with the song “Mann Bharrya”. Being from family background, B Praak was inclined towards music from
the very beginning. He aspired to become a singer from his childhood, but his father wanted him to
become a music director. So, B Praak continued his struggle for becoming a music director, while he
often shared his desires for singing with his mother.

Bachchan did his schooling from the St. Xavier School. Later, in his college, he used to do beatboxing.
The basics of music direction were taught to him by his father. He practiced music for about 10 years
before stepping into the Punjabi Music Industry. B Praak is a big fan of Jazzy B and wishes to work with
him in the future.

In 2012, the Punjabi lyricist, Jaani approached him to collaborate for an Australian project and offered
him an amount of ₹45000 per track. The project, unfortunately, never released. However, the project
resulted in a great bond between the two that later, made the way for “Soch” song which gave a kick to
his career and there is no looking back now. His song “Mann Bharraya” was a super hit track. B Praak
told in an interview that Ammy Virk wanted

to sing the song but B Praak requested him through a message that he really wants to sing the song.

B Praak Career

Starting his career as a music composer and music director in 2008, he gained recognition from the
Punjabi Song “Soch” sung by Harrdy Sandhu in 2013. The song was highly appreciated by the music
fraternity and eventually, earned him the PTC Best Music Director Award in 2015. Eventually, his
collaboration with the Punjabi lyricist Jaani gave Punjabi industry super hit songs like “Do you know” by
Diljit Dosanjh, “Horn Blow” and “Backbone” by Harrdy Sandhu, “Oscar” by Gippy Grewal and Badshah,
“Ikk Vaari Hor Soch Lae” by Harish Verma. His composition ‘Soch’ was awarded the Most Romantic
Balled of the Year in the year 2017.

In 2018, he made his singing debut with the song “Mann Bharrya.” The song became popular overnight
and earned him wide recognition after which, he made his Bollywood playback singing debut in 2019,
with the song “Teri Mitti” from the film “Kesari” starring Akshay Kumar.

His hobbies include dancing, swimming, and cooking, gyming. B Praak has a huge obsession for watches.
He never leaves his home without a wristwatch. B Praak has an obsession for watches and never leaves

on his right arm and some

musical tattoos on his chest. Bachchan has this craze of shades. He buys a shade from wherever he

He is a huge fan of Punjabi singer Jazzy B. While he was studying in college, Praak used to copy Jazzy B’s
hairstyle.

B Praak loves spending time with his friends and shares a great bond with the Punjabi lyricist Jaani,

singer Hardy Sandhu, Jassie Gill and Ammy Virk and video director Arvindr Khaira. All of them started
their career simultaneously and know each other since then. While Jaani and B Praak knows each other
from the longest time and Jaani has always been very supportive to him.

B Praak Struggle Story:

He always had a interest in music and while in school, he made music through his mouth. His father then
asked him to learn to make music on the computer because the technology just came back then. Then
his father sent him to a studio to make him learn music making on the computer using the software. But
all he did there was to sit, watch and come back home. He went to another studio to learn to make
music but the owner of the studio asked the recordist to not to teach anyone the software despite
knowing his father very well. And finally, then he went to another studio named Saraswati Studio and
learned about the software and making music. Slowly, he was able to make a remix. B Praak just got Rs.
30 for a day from his family, out of which he used Rs. 20 for traveling and Rs. 10 for food, this continued
for 2 years. In 2013, when B Praak, Jaani, and Harrdy Sandhu collaborated from the song “Soch” and
they then decided to change B Praak’s name from Preky to B Praak. The struggle ended with the success
of the song “Soch” and since then, there is no looking back for B Praak.
