1. Basic Programming Course PLC S7 - 400

A. Target audience
This course is aimed at personnel in all areas, who are interested in any of the following, but have no knowledge of
SIMATIC S7 programmable controller:
Solving simple tasks with SIMATIC S7 controllers.Using SIMATIC S7 to learn about the principle of operation and
application of PLC.
B. Course objectives
On completion of this course, the participant shall be able to:
a. Know the components parts and the principle of operation of a SIMATIC S7 programmable controller and
the rules governing handling of the hardware and basic programming of a SIMATIC S7.
b. Be able to use STEP 7 tools for documenting and testing the programs.
C. Course contents
Familiarization with the performance with the performance characteristic of PLC and programming devices.
Configuring the CPU and the I/O modules by Hardware Configuration.
Ability to structure, generate, document and put into operation simple PLC program with SIMATIC S7.
Be acquainted with structure and execution of programs in SIMATIC S7 programmable controllers.
Ability to use the STEP 7 tools for generating, documenting, use absolute / symbolic addressing and testing
the programs.

Note: All topics are backup by practical exercises using the Field PG/ PC and the S7-300/400 programmable
controllers and plant model.

2. Advanced & Trouble Shooting Course PLC S7 - 400

A. Target audience
This course is aimed at qualified operating, service, and assembly personnel. Knowledge and skills acquired in
course.
SIMATIC S7 Application Course are consolidated and extended to enable the participants to recognize and
remedy faults / errors in SIMATIC S7 controllers, and to participate in startup procedures.
B. Course objectives
On completion of this course, the participant shall be able to:
a. Understand the program structure of the high performance of SIMATIC S7 controller and know all function of
the STEP 7.
b. Be able to use STEP 7 tools for Diagnostic & Troubleshooting of Faults on the PLC system.
c. Be able to program and using configurable blocks, to use analog processing, extended instructions,
extended function of symbolic programming, interrupt processing and communication links via MPI interface.

C. Course contents
Handling Data types, data storage and data archiving.
Using the STEP 7 tools for configuring and parameterize the CPU and the modules.
Using STEP 7 tools for Diagnostic & Troubleshooting of Faults on the PLC system
Handling analog modules and the processing of analog values.
Programming and using configurable blocks and employing conversion, arithmetic, shift and jump
I nstructions.
Be able to use extended functions for symbolic programming and interrupt-controlled program execution.
Configuring and implementing the homogeneous communication links via the MPI interface.

3. ETHERNET & PROFIBUS Network

A. Target audience
This course is aimed at planning design, application and service engineers who work on ETHERNET and
PROFIBUS Network communication between PLC S7 with CP343/ CP443.

B. Course objectives
On completion of this course, the participant shall be able to:
a. Be familiar with design and structure of the ETHERNET/ PROFIBUS network and system.
b. Be able to connect different automation equipment to the ETHERNET/PROFIBUS network.
c. Be able to parameterize using S7-NETPRO and the CP343 / CP443 module and program a PLC-PLC
connection using TCP/IP and FDL or FMS mode.
d. Be able to use the test and diagnostic functions for ETHERNET / PROFIBUS Network.

C. Course contents

General concept of ETHERNET / PROFIBUS and standard Application possibilities of FDL and FMS.
Using the S7-NETPRO for ETHERNET / PROFIBUS Application to parameterize the TCP/IP and FDL / FMS
connections.
The data transfer between CPU and CP343 / CP443 via the programming of Send–Receive block and Load
/ Transfer commands.
The Test and diagnostics function to analyze the ETHERNET and PROFIBUS Communication.

4. PROFIBUS-DP Network

D. Target audience
This course is aimed at planning design, application and service engineers who work on PROFIBUS-DP Network
communication between PLC S7 with Integrated DP-Master of CPU 315-2DP / CPU 414-2DP or CP342-5.

E. Course objectives
On completion of this course, the participant shall be able to:
a. Be familiar with design and structure of the PROFIBUS DP network and system.
b. Be able to parameterize PROFIBUS-DP using Hardware Configuration and make a program on SIMATIC S7.
c. Be able to connect different automation equipment to the PROFIBUS-DP network.
d. Be able to use the test and diagnostic functions for DP Master and Slaves.

F. Course contents
Operation of Integrated DP master of the CPU S7 300/400 series.
Using Hardware Configuration to parameterize the slaves of PROFIBUS-DP.
The data transfer between CPU and I/O modules or Field Devices on the slaves.
Application of PROFIBUS-DP for various ET200 series and Field Devices such as SIMOREG, SIMOVERT,
Siemens OP/TP, PG/PC etc.
The Test and diagnostics function to analyze the Profibus-DP Communication.

5. SCADA SIMATIC WinCC

A. Target audience
This course is intended for configuring engineers, commissioning engineers, decision-makers and service
personnel, or for personnel who want to work with WinCC for process visualization system, monitoring and
controlling a process machine.

B. Course objectives
On completion of this course, the participant shall be able to:
a. Be capable of programming WinCC for operator process visualization with fully graphical, object oriented
User interface with windowing techniques.
b. Be able to set up the bus connection with PROFIBUS or Industrial Ethernet.
c. Be able to connect to SIMATIC configuration world (Signal list, programming device functions).
C. Course contents
Overview of the WinCC system.
Starting a project, connection to S7, and variable simulation.
Graphics Designer & graphic display for HMI.
Alarm display and alarm logging.
Curve display and tag logging.
User archives.
Report designer.
Background processing.
Practical exercises.

6. SINAMICS DRIVE

A. Target audience
This course is intended for: personnel of customers who will be commissioning, servicing, and maintaining the
SINAMICS series.

B. Course objectives
On completion of this course, the participant shall be able to:
a. Be able to start up the converter.
b. Be able to adapt the parameters to the requirements of the drive.
c. Be able to record the parameters.
d. Diagnose faults, alarms and solve problems.
C. Course contents
Design of the drive system and overview of documentation and service.
Start up and parameterization with the STARTER commissioning tool.
Structure of the function diagrams.
Diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Software function, closed-loop control and optimization of Servo and Vector drives.
Startup of the integral basic positioner (EPOS)
Practical exercise on the Training Kit.
