From chaos emerged Night, Darkness, and Death, from which sprang Love, who brought order. 2) The earth was created and was personified as Mother Earth. She and Father Heaven had children called the Titans, including Cronus, who ruled until overthrown by Zeus. 3) Prometheus was the wisest Titan and helped Zeus defeat Cronus. He is famous for bringing fire to humanity. Pandora was the first woman, created by Zeus to punish Prometheus and mankind. She opened a forbidden box, releasing evils but also hope.

    Greece - officially the Hellenic Republic (Greek: Ελληνική Δημοκρατία), also known as Hellas (Greek: Ελλάς), is

    a sovereign statelocated in Southern and Southeast Europe. Its population is approximately 10.7 million as of
    2018; Athens is the nation's capital and largest city, followed by Thessaloniki.
    How the Word and Mankind were Created
    - According to the Greeks. CHAOS In the beginning, there was only chaos. No one offers and explanation
    on the nature of “Chaos,” what it was or where it came from.
    - Long before the gods, appeared, chaos was only formless confusion.
    Night and Erebus

    Darkness and Death
    Love
    Out of Darkness and Death sprang Love, which brought order and beauty to chaos and Create Light.
    Earth- there is no explanation offered on how the earth was made. It may as well have created itself.
    Mother Earth and Father Heaven
    Personification of Earth and the Heavens; they gave birth to the beast and monsters that inhabited Earth
    before man.
    Titans
    - The Titans were children of Mother Earth and Father heaven.
    - They were enormous in both size and strength.
    Cronus
    - A Titan who Helped Mother Earth to defeat Father heaven.
    - He ruled the world for a long time afterwards, swallowing his first five children for fear they would rise
    against him.
    - His sixth child, Zeus , Scaped and later defeated Cronus, rescuing his five brothers and Sisters, and
    imprisoned him along with most of the other Titans.
    Prometheus
    - Was the wisest of the Titans, even the wiser than the Gods.
    - He help zeus to defeat Cronus.
    - His name means “ Forethought. “
    - He is most famous for bringing fire to humanity.
    Epimetheus
    - Prometheus’s brother, his name means “ Afterthought.”
    - He is very scatted-brained, and a polar opposite to his brother.
    Pandora – was the first woman, created by Zeus. Her name is means “ The Gift of all. “
    - Zeus created her and, subsequentially, all women who followed as a means to get revenge on mankind
    and on Prometheus, who tricked him and stole fire for mankind.
    - She was innately curious, and her curiousity would bring about disaster.
    Pandora’s Box
    - Zeus gave pandora a box, which she was forbidden to open. Of course, he knew her curiousity would win
    out.
    - When she opened the box, out flew plagues, sorrow, sickness, and mischief to ruin mankind.
    - However, hope also flew out of Pandora’s box, and to this day, is our only comfort.
