This has refet;ence to Mlrii$1:ry's.QMdated 21.12.~017 wheretn Ring ~ _ ~ for
Gwalior, Shlvpurl and Sagar In Madhya Pradesh and Jabalpur is not included in tlds" t:fst &f:~ Roads
to be planned under Bharatmala Phase-l,
RO-Bhopatvide letter No. 33746 dated 07.02.2019 has submitted that c~ of Ring
~. 2.
Roadof JabalPur may be planned in lieu of Shivpurt Ring Road considered In Bharatmala~ as
Shivpuri bypass has already been constructed In Gwalior Shivpuri (BOT) project. It 1s submtttecf that
alignment of NH·7 which Is known as Jabalpur Bypassrecently 4-laned by MIs LarWill not be able to
serve the purpose due to following reasons:
a) Jabatpur Town has already grown beyond the bypassand major development is taktng place
beyond Jabalpur Bypassonly, as there is no space for development within bypass.
b) As the city has now grown beyond Jabalpur bypass the traffic load has already increased
substantially on Jabalpur Bypass which will lead to further congestion and increase the
possibility of accidents. . .
c) There is no place to develop Logistic Hub on Jabalpur Bypass.
d) Keeping in mind the pace with which Jabalpur Town is expanding and its importance as an
economy hub, Ring Roadis essential so that sufficient space Is available for the development
of the town inside Ring Road.
3. A VIP reference has also been received for construction of Jabalpur Ring Road tn vlew of the
congestion on different roads passing through Jabatpur. He has also suggested a poss1bleqttgninent
of Ring Road which can start from Manegaon at NH-7 and passes through CharpWan and crossing
Sahajpur (NH-12), Kantora (Patan Road), Belkhadu (Jabalpur-Oamoh Road) whfdt wilt meet the four
lane bypass which is being constructed by NHAI between Kushner and Jabatpur bypass (Panagar
Bypass) Then again from Kushner to SunderpurVia Kakarhai, Amjhar. (Jabalpur·Amarkantak road New
NH-45E) tnora, Barela Bazar (NH'12A), Barha, Basnlya, Pipariya and will meet at Nigrl (satiwada) on
NH-7 and will end on existing NH-7 at Manegaon.The approximate length of the proposed Ring Road
will be about 112 Kms. However, the alignment wilt be finalized only after detailed investigation and
DPR preparation. 4.
