It is the key feature of Global system for mobiles.
It is used for authentication.
BTS:
It can handles the protocols with the mobile.
BSC:
BSC is usd to manages the resources(channel, setup, handover) for one or more BTS’s.
MSC:
MSC stands for MOBILE SWITCHING CENTER.
It is the central component of the network.
MSC can handles many cell phone at a time.
HLR:
It is the database of all users and current location.
It is one per network.
VLR:
It is the database of all user and romers in some geographical areas.
It caches the HLR.
EIR:
It is the database of all valid equipment.
AUC:
Database of users secret key.
