1.0 Objective:
1.1 To lay down the procedure for data recovery plan at the time of disaster.
2.0 Scope:
2.1 This procedure is applicable to all the instruments/ systems connected to PCs and SAP Servers
at Jodas Expoim Private Limited, plot No: 55, phase-3, Biotech Park, Karkapatla village.
3.0 Responsibility:
3.1 System-administrator (IT) to Backup the data to 2nd and 3rd level storage locations and retrieve
the data whenever Disaster occurs.
3.2 System-administrator (IT) to prepare schedule and to verify the backed up data.
4.0 Procedure:
4.1 Jodas has established a safe system and can ensure an adequate level of protection for the
rights of data in relation to processing data of all the departments
4.2.1 A “Disaster” is any event that can cause a significant disruption in operational and /or computer
processing for a period of time, which will affect the operation of the business.
4.2.2 Jodas Disaster Recovery is designed to ensure the continuation of business process in the
event that a disaster occurs.
4.2.3 This procedure/plan will provide an effective solution that can be used to recover all business
processes within the required time frame using vital records that are stored off-site.
4.2.4 This procedure/plan is just one of several plans that will provide procedures to handle
emergency situations.
4.2.5 The next key issue to be strongly considered within the strategy for disaster recovery is a
recovery strategy for alternate processing (Hot-Site). This plan identifies the Hot-Site and the
alternatives if the primary location is not available to provide disaster recovery services for the
various system environments.

4.4.1 Backup activity shall be performed periodically to preserve and retrieve data as per prescribed
frequency
4.4.2 Analytical and SAP related Data shall be transferred to restricted storage device. This storage
device only accessible to System Administrator (IT) only.
4.5 Data backup activity shall be performed as per procedure SOP No.JEIT001-01.
4.6 System Administrator (IT) shall ensure proper working of Storage Device to avoid
malfunctioning.
4.7 All Analytical and SAP PC/Server Systems data will be stored on centralized storage device.

Title: Disaster Recovery of Data
4.9.1 1st level backup shall be on same location on a Storage Device from all the analytical
Standalone and Server connected systems and SAP Servers.
4.10 2nd level backup shall be stored in a different location (JEPL HO) on a storage device through
dedicated secured VPN Connection or MPLS Connection
4.11 3rd level backup shall be carried to cloud storage through Internet.
4.12.1 Backup data size(in GB) from Storage Devices in all the three locations shall be verified once in
3 months + 15 working days for compliance and to verify the health of the data by IT personnel
and details shall be entered in “Record for the verification of back up data size” (JEIT003-F01).
4.12.2 A schedule shall be prepared at the beginning of a calendar year in the format “Schedule for
the verification of Backup Data” (JEIT003-F02).
4.13 Backed up data shall be preserved for 5 years from the date of backup.
