    Error Possible Cause Action

    E1 Problem is located in the sensor head. Pull error logs and forward to SICK safety Applications for review.
    E2 Error is in the I/O module, Pull error logs and forward to SICK safety Applications for review.
    E3 Error is in system plug Replace system plug
    Flashing 6 Occurs after transmission of Bad system plug, replace same
    configuration.
    Solid 6 No Configuration or Transfer completed. Transfer the configuration again making sure you do a release.
    E4 Communication via EFI failed Check both scanners in the system to see which one is in lock out.
    Trouble shoot that scanner.
    8 EDM Error Check the final switching relays or relay module for correct
    operation.
    Alternating F 1 Overcurrent on OSSD 1 pin 3 Check wiring for short circuit to 0VDC,or bad safety relay (replace
    same)
    Alternating F 2 Short circuit to 24VDC on OSSD 1 pin 3 Check wiring for short to 24VDC
    Alternating F 3 Short circuit to 0VDC on OSSD 1 pin 3 Check wiring for short to 0VDC
    Alternating F 4 Overcurrent on OSSD 2 pin 4 Check wiring for short circuit to 0VDC,or bad safety relay (replace
    same)
    Alternating F 5 Short circuit to 24VDC on OSSD 2 pin 4 Check wiring for short to 24VDC
    Alternating F 6 Short circuit to 0VDC on OSSD 2 pin 4 Check wiring for short to 0VDC
    Alternating 1 1 S3000 is not seeing anything in a 90 This is not a problem; scanner is set up to report no object seen in
    degree angle for 49 meters a 90-degree area for a range of 49 meters. In stationary mode can
    do this for 2 minute for mobile mode can do this for 2 hours.
    Alternating 1 2 S3000 is dazzled Check to see if a bright light source is shining directly into the face
    of the S3000. Can be caused by the sun or bright head lights.
    Change mounting angle of S3000 or block to path of the light
    source to the S3000.
    Alternating 1 3 Temperature Error Check ambient temperature is with in the limits of specified
    operating temperature range.
    Alternating L 2 EDM configured wrong Check configuration and compare it to your wiring diagrams. Is pin
    6 of the S3000 wired up?
    Alternating L 4 EFI Fault or bad device connected to EFI. Check other device for faults, check the EFI cable and connections
    Alternating L 9 Short circuit between the reset wire of the Check the wire on pin 5 for shorts to any other wire or pin.

    Alternating n 1 An undefined monitoring case has been Check the control circuit of A1 through D2 and make sure that the

    Alternating u 7 No front screen or S3000 is dazzled. Re-fir the front screen and perform front screen calibration. If front
    screen is in place check to make sure that there is not bright light
    source shinning directly into the face of the S3000.
