398 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. The
parable of the rich young man, prompts us to ask ourselves if there is
something that keeps us from following Jesus. Perhaps He asks us to let go
of our anger, fear or selfishness. All things that would keep us from following
Him with free loving minds and hearts. In an hour of adoration, ask the Lord
to help you follow Him as He wills. Call 330-745-6852 today for your hour.
The following are our current vacant hours, please consider filling a spot and
spending an hour with our Lord; Monday midnight to 1am, Wednesday 2-3am, and

Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

The widow in today’s gospel was successful because she was persistent. Children tend to be
naturally persistent; they will repeat the same request over and over until an exhausted parent
gives in, and then later will feel guilty for not being stronger. The gospel encourages us to pray
always and not lose heart. Our challenge is to be a good – not perfect – parent.

Pastor’s Formed Pick of the Week: “Joseph of Nazareth: The Story of the Man Closest
to Christ:
"The first feature film ever on the story of St. Joseph, who was a carpenter, the husband of
Mary, and the foster father of Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us that St. Joseph was a ""just man"" and
that God gave him the most daunting task ever asked of a man–to be the husband of the woman
who would give birth to the Messiah and the father and protector of this Holy Family. He would be
the man closest to Christ.
Starring Tobias Moretti in a manly, appealing performance, we are shown the human, noble,
and deeply spiritual aspects of Joseph the carpenter, son of David, servant of God, and loving
husband of Mary. He is presented as a man of faith who must grapple greatly with the profound
mysteries of the miraculous conception, the Virgin Birth, the Incarnation of the Son of God, and the
incredible challenges of protecting and raising Jesus amidst the threats on his life from the moment
of his birth and beyond.
As Joseph is informed by God's messengers about trusting and following his plan for Christ,
the dangerous flight into Egypt to save his child, and finally returning to Nazareth to raise Jesus, this
lovely film presents beautiful vignettes of these and other powerful scenes in the life of the young
Christ and the Holy Family that are authentic and inspiring. Also stars Stefania Rivi, Franco
Interlenghi, and Andrea Prodan."
Christ’s Peace!
Fr. David Majikas

Month Four – Developing Baby – Well, your little baby now weighs six
ounces. He has fingernails and eyelashes. He has his own unique
fingerprints, which will remain the same until he dies. His taste buds are
working. His sense of hearing is developing and present at 14 weeks.
There are no major developments anymore. Your spiritually adopted baby
is already formed, internally and externally. All he needs now is time to gain weight
and grow strong. What a miracle he is!

Catholics across the country will be celebrating Priesthood Sunday on October 27. It is a
day set aside to celebrate the importance of the gift of priesthood in the life of the Church.
It is a time for us to reflect on the ministry that our priests share with us when we gather
at the Table of the Lord – when we call in our time of need. Consider sharing a personal
note or card of thanks. Together we pray that many of our young people will be inspired by
the ministry and witness of our priests. May their hearts be open to hearing and
responding to God’s call in their lives? For more information on the priesthood, visit
