ABSTRACT
MOCKBRIDGE
This research assess the level of satisfaction who have taken the degree
of Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation in University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu
and Mandaue campus located at A.C Cortes Ave, Looc, Mandaue City regarding
on the use of mock bridge simulation room. This study considered the profile of
respondents which includes navigation skill and ability in using technologies.
. This study used the descriptive design to know the level of satisfaction of
the graduates. The data is proposed to be gathered though the use of a
researcher-made questionnaire. The data to be gathered will be treated though
measures of central tendency.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First of all, the researchers would like to thank almighty God. He gave us
power to believe in our passion and pursue our dreams. He is always there to
enlighten and widen our minds. The researcher would never have done this
The researchers would like to thank our instructor Mr. Atabay, for guiding
and supporting us all throughout this project. His constant reminders and
progress report checks have help us to become more focused during this
research writing process. He taught us how to undertake this task and even
Finally, the researchers would like to thank our families for always support
and being there for us. The researchers thank our parents and guardians for
rigorous path of college life. The researchers realized that this wouldn’t have
been possible if they were not supportive and guiding parents or guardians as
they are.

CHAPTER 1
Ship Bridge or Mock bridge simulators have been used within the maritime
world for decades, both for engineering and training purposes. They are
essentially virtual vessels with mock-up bridges fitted with real consoles and
reality. The use of simulation technology for training purposes has been a feature
of several industries for many years. The maritime industry is one outstanding
example of the use of simulation. By using their learning tools and learning
outcomes the shipping industry will gain benefit from their experience in that.
233 three- to four-person cadet watch teams (approximately 900 cadets) over a
10-year period (October 1985 to March 1994) were reviewed. The objectives are
training for third mate candidates with limited, prior nautical experience.

effective training tool. This theory supports the study as it tells that using
shipboard simulators will help the maritime students or mariners to enhance their
skills in navigating when they’re onboard. This would also help them to reduce
risk while sailing because you’ve know the proper way of navigating and on how
and machines needed for their respective fields of specialization. Making these as
important for improving the confidence and competence. This theory relates on
the study of the researchers as it talks about the consideration of facilities that
may develop the proficiency which can make the students more confident and
covers issues of student’s perception and experiences during the college years.
This theory was stated by USCG (1993), the granting of credit for
of sea time. Recently, the USCG stated that it will encourage training and
simulator use by expanding the practice of sea-time remission. The theory has
helped the researchers study as it said that the seafarers should be trained to
According to Rooij & Van (1992), that the process of using simulation

rapid activities. This theory supports the study as it talks tells the importance of

can keep away from accident cases that will costs a lot of money.
This theory says that through use of simulators the maritime environment can

Research Environment
The research environment of the study sits at the foot of old Mactan
Bridge connecting the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu. The environment is the
home of mariners and home for other courses. Preferred maritime school of
many top shipping companies all over the world and provides training and
scholarship education for students that are responsive to its local thriving with
opportunities.

Data Gathering
We made a letter to our dean in order to proceed on our study and after
we got the questionnaires from our respondents who have answered it, we will
tabulate the results, compute for the consideration in making decision and
criteria for the data supplied. With these, data is going to be interpreted and
recommendations will be made. The making of decisions was the basis to show
Treatment of Data
The data will be treated by using weighted mean and per simple
percentage decision in order to have a correct and exact data and we will make
sure that we would have the proper conclusion and recommendations of the
problem.
