    GIVING- TITHES & OFFERING

    Matthew 6:33

    But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things

    shall be added unto you.

    1. Where does our money come from?


     Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the
    Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting
    shadows.
     10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in
    my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not
    throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much
    blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. (Malachi 3:10)
     DALHIN NINYO ang buong IKASAMPUNG (10TH) bahagi sa kamalig,
    upang magkaroon ng pagkain sa aking bahay, at SUBUKIN NINYO
    AKO NGAYON sa bagay na ito, sabi ng Panginoon ng mga hukbo,
    kung hindi Ko bubuksan sa inyo ang mga dungawan sa langit, at
    ihuhulog Ko sa inyo ang isang PAGPAPALA, na WALANG SAPAT na silid
    na kalalagyan.
     Tithes- an amount of money that a person gives to a church which is
    equal to 10% of his income.
     Offering
    2. Why do we give?
     It is a command.
    -It is an act of obedience.
     We become more like God in character.
     We trust God. God is always faithful.
    -(Philippians 4:19) “And my God will meet all your needs according to his
    glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
     It increases our faith in claiming God’s promises. (Matt 6:33)
     It sustains God’s churches.
    -It expands God’s Kingdom & reaches the lives of many unbeliever.
     It is honoring God with the first fruit of our income.
    3. How do we give?
     7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,not
    reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is
    able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that
    you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)
     7Magbigay ang bawa't isa ayon sa ipinasiya ng kaniyang puso: huwag
    mabigat sa loob, o dahil sa kailangan: sapagka't iniibig ng Dios ang
    nagbibigay na masaya. 8 At maaaring gawin ng Dios na ang lahat ng biyaya
    ay magsisagana sa inyo; upang kayo, na mayroong laging buong kaya sa
    lahat ay magsipanagana sa bawa't mabuting gawa:

    Giving

    - Sets us free (James 5:2)


    - Changes the lives of others (John 3:16)
    - Blesses others/church & us (Luke 6:38)
    - Allows us to store up treasures in Heaven (Matt 19:21)
