Vessel dished ends are mostly used in storage or pressure vessels in industry. These ends, which in
upright vessels are the bottom and the top, use less space than a hemisphere (which is the ideal form
for pressure containments) while requiring only a slightly thicker wall.

The manufacturing of such an end is easier than that of a hemisphere. The starting material is first
pressed to a radius r1 and then curled at the edge creating the second radius r2. Vessel dished ends
can also be welded together from smaller pieces.

The dished ends vary in accordance with size & shape. We offer dished ends in different sizes as
shown in the below table.

Capability of forming dished ends by either Pressing or Spinning. Each method can offer particular
advantages to the customer's product.

Forming of dished ends is achieved in one of the three ways:

1. Completely spun - Ends formed using this technique is spun over a tool, which has both the
spherical and the knuckle radii. This allows the end to be formed entirely on one spinning machine.

2. Press and Flanging - Acontract specific spherical radius is formed using specialist hydraulic
Boldrini presses. Following this the required knuckle radius is spun using Boldrini flanging units.

3. Spin and flanging - Unlike pressing, the spherical radius is formed by spinning the plate blank
against a fixed forming tool. Forming of the knuckle radius is made in the same way as pressed ends.

Ellipsoidal Dished End


Owing to our domain expertise, we are able to undertake fabrication of Ellipsoidal Dished End. By
adopting cold and hot forming process, these dished ends are fabricated. Different capacity of
hydraulic presses and spinning machines are used for the fabrication process that adhere to the
international norms. These dished ends are application specific and can be developed in single
pieces, crown and petal formation. In accordance with the customer requirements, the diameter,
thickness and post heat treatment can be altered. During blank formation, pressing and spinning of
dished ends, strict quality control is practiced.

T orispherical Heads
We are among the manufacturers of Dished- Ends Torispherical heads that are widely used in
chemical refineries & plants and oil and gas industries. Our products are manufactured using high
quality stainless steel, low alloy steel.

Experienced in making Dished-Ends Torispherical heads care is taken during all the stages of

Hemispherical T ype Dished End


Leveraging on our technical expertise, we are able to offer our clients with Crown and Petal Type
Dished Ends. Using point pressing method, these dished-ends are cold formed. At times, using
special die-punch arrangement, hot pressing of dished-end is also undertaken. 'V' preparation & mock
