FINAL YEAR PROJECT

PEWS (PLATOON EARLY WARNING SYSTEM)

 (PEWS) is a lightweight, self-powered, dynamic, portable intrusion detection device

designed to be used by military units.
 PEWS will provide increased coverage and surveillance of sensitive areas that cannot be
observed by sight devices.
 The system incorporates the sensors integrated with the IP camera that are capable of
detecting personnel and vehicular intrusions thus alarming the platoons in case of threat.
 Upon detection of any threat, the sensor identifies the intruder (man or vehicle) and
communicates the detection and classification data to a remote monitor receiver/display by
means of Client/Server Model.
