MESSAGE FROM
CHAIRMAN OF INSAIT / PERDATIN
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to invite you to the 12th National Congress Of Indonesian Society Of Anesthesiology And
Intensive Therapy (PERDATIN). This year is very special because we are also joining force with the
Indonesian Society of Intensive Care Medicine (PERDICI) and as we integrate this year's theme with the
world sepsis day campaign, the theme for the 2019 National Meeting will be “Tailored Made Orientation
in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care”
The fields of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care are changing, and our roles around the nation are shifting.
Anaesthesiologists are no longer bound to the operating room. We are at the core of the modern hospital
– and beyond. We participate in a multitude of new interventional procedures and enable modern high-
quality healthcare to be provided in a safe, painless manner. Nevertheless, patients diseases getting
more complicated, surgeries are getting more complex and cost become a national burden and get we
still have to provide the best and relevant management for each and every patient.
A glance through the list of presentations planned reveals the amazing diversity of these problems. They
range from cutting edge new science in anaesthesia introduction of new equipments and parameters to
guide therapy and interactive case discussion to get more sense of the problem. All in the hopes of finding
not only the current guideline but the best, relevant and effective management tailored for every
individual patient.
Nowadays, anaesthesia is not measured only by patient on table survival but also a better outcome such
as quality of life, length of hospital stay and even duration of pain felt after the surgery was so critical care
becomes a second layer of our skin. Working together with different point of view carries a humanous
bonus to our work.
PERDATIN has a special focus on capacity building. We always strive to help anaesthesiologists, hospitals
and our people in general to build a solid body of well – trained anaesthesiologists and continuously try to
refine the skills of specialists in anaesthesia who can continuously pass on their expertise to future
generation. Training programs set in this event is one of the contribution we have in mind.
We must not forget our well – being, our health and the patients involvement in their care so you will see
many topics provided also cover those subjects as well.
Lastly, I would like to extend my invitation to not only the main event but also enjoy our beautiful host city
of Bandung. Famous for its scenery, culinaries, springs, theme parks and shopping streets. Bandung will
truly give you a chance to recharge before getting back to your daily activities.
On behalf of PERDATIN I sincerely hope that you will come and make this event one of PERDATIN's
highlight event of the year.
MESSAGE FROM
CHAIRMAN OF ISICM (PERDICI)
Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 7th National Congress of Indonesian Society of Intensive
Care Medicine. PERDICI (Association of Intensive Care Specialist) or also known internationally as ISICM
(Indonesian Society of Intensive Care Medicine) is striving to improve and renew our knowledge in the
field of intensive care medicine through this meeting. The meeting is open to all specialist, general
practitioner and medical student.
The theme “Tailored Made Orientation in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine” reminds us that
every patient is unique and must be treated differently according to their problems. The meeting is also
conjoined with the 12th National Congress of Indonesian Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
Medicine and the 15th World Sepsis Day with various symposiums and workshops which hopefully will
enrich our knowledge even further. We are thrilled to welcome you all, be it a newcomer or a returning
participant. See you, or as we said in Sundanese, mugi patepang deui in Bandung!
MESSAGE FROM
CHAIRMAN OF CONGRESS
Respected colleagues,
It is with great pleasure for me to welcome you to our second proceeding of the 2019 Joint National
Congress Of Indonesian Society Of Anesthesiology And Intensive Therapy (PERDATIN) along with the
Indonesian Society of Intensive Care Medicine (PERDICI) and the World Sepsis Day. It is a rare and unique
opportunity that these major forces in modern medicine can join together and hopefully will create
immense aftermath for Indonesian Healthcare.
As the course of diseases in Indonesia continue to change due to the globalized world, reemerging
diseases, aging society and super resistant bacteria we see now in everyday work many doctors in their
own respective fields continuously meet challenges and questions that their medical school may not
have thought them. Adding to this issue is the rise of new technology, publication of new journals and
new drugs that are being developed and tested which becomes a continuous source of change in modern
practice.
At this point, the professional organization becomes a leaning point to all its member to be able to
discuss, share and even open debates about these clinical scenarios and put them into a reasonable
Indonesian perspective. Enabling its members to adjust or tweak founding's and allow it to match current
working environment and even to keep oneself alerted about the new ongoing trends today in their
fields.
A selection of topics and speakers has been matched to deliver cutting edge news to the floor during the
seminar. I invite you to take part in the continuing professional development and poster competition as a
routine part of our program.
Last but not least this year I also would like to extend my invitation for you to enrich our right brain in
musical activities such as a national vocal group competition and activities with sports and sounds in our
world sepsis day campaign. I invite you to Bandung to be part of this unique opportunity, rekindle with old
friends and have some relaxing time with your family.
