ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day01 Arrive Jammu - On to Pahalgam (270 kms / approx. 7 hour drive)
Welcome to your 'Kashmir- Paradise on Earth' tour! On arrival at the airport / railway station in Jammu you will be met and
transferred to Pahalgam where you will check- into your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.
Overnight in Pahalgam
None (Meals on your own).
Day02 Pahalgam
The day is at leisure to admire the beauty of this quiet place. One can enjoy a pony ride (on direct payment basis)to nearby
place like Chandanwari or simply walk along the Lidder River

Day03 On to Srinagar (97 kms / approx. 4 hour drive)
Today, drive to Srinagar, en route, making a brief visit to Awantipura Ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
On arrival, check-in to your houseboat.
In the afternoon, visit the Mughal Gardens - Shalimar Garden, Chashmeshahi and Nishant Gardens. Later, visit the
Shankracharya Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated at a height of about 1,100 ft. on a hilltop on the
southeast of the city, offers splendid views of the valley and the snow-capped mountains of the Pir Panjal range.
The rest of the evening is at leisure. One can enjoy shopping at the local market for papier-mache items ranging from jewellery
boxes to mirror frames, a range of intricately carved walnut wood furniture and accessories, stone jewellery boxes, beautiful
woolen shawls etc.
Overnight in Srinagar (B, L, D)
Day04 Srinagar - Day Excursion to Sonmarg (80 kms / approx. 3 hour drive)
Today, transfer from your houseboat to hotel in Srinagar, en route embark on a full day excursion to Sonmarg admirably known
as the 'meadow of gold'.
Sonmarg, an alpine valley is situated at the bank of Nallah Sindh River. Sindh River indulges you in an activity of fishing
especially during summers. This river bed is a popular breeding ground for trout and mahseer fishes. An optional ride on a pony
(on direct payment basis) is sure to delight you as you are carried around the snow.
The rest of the evening is at leisure for you to explore the city. You can opt for a pony ride (on direct payment basis) to one of
the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice.
Overnight in Srinagar (B)
Day05 Srinagar - Day Excursion to Gulmarg (56 kms / approx. 2 hour drive)
This morning, proceed to Gulmarg. The beautiful town of Gulmarg is bordered by picturesque villages, willow trees, fast flowing
streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg the 'Meadow of Flowers' is an apt term for this idyllic flower - laden spot, offering a
spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees.
The rest of the day is at leisure. One can take leisurely strolls across the green meadows to one of the world's highest Golf
Course. Or opt to take a fun-filled ride in Asia's highest and longest cable car, the Gulmarg Gondola (on direct payment basis).
Overnight in Srinagar (B)
Day06 On to Katra (270 kms / approx. 8 hour drive)
This morning, drive to Katra where on arrival you will check-in to your hotel.
The evening is at leisure for independent activities.

Day07 In Katra * Trek to Mata Vaishnodevi (14 kms one way)
Today, embark on a 14 km trek to the Vaishno Devi Mata Shrine where ponies can be hired on direct payment basis.Vaishno
Devi Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in India, is located at a height of 5,200 feet on the hills of the Trikuta
range. The temple consists of a cave shrine dedicated to the Hindu goddess, Vaishno Devi. After darshan, return to your hotel.
Overnight in Katra (B)
Day08 Departure Katra - On to Jammu (56 kms / approx. 2 hour drive)
Today, bid farewell to your 'Kashmir - Paradise on Earth' tour as you are transferred to the airport / railway station in Jammu
for your onward journey.

terms and conditions of the insurance company will apply. The same needs to be checked on case to case basis with the
insurance company.
In Sonamarg and Gulmarg the vehicle will drop you at one point and from there you have to go for optional activities on your own.
In Pahalgam sightseeing is done only by local union vehicles.

It is mandatory to carry a valid photo identity card (Passport / Driving License / Voter ID card).
