Overview
Bejing Puhua International Hospital (BPIH) has one of the leading

The neurology team also helps patients living or staying in Beijing who suffers from

Dr. Zhou Jingli (Julia)
Director of the Neurology Department

Dr. Zhou is the Director of the Neurology Department


of Beijing Puhua International Hospital. Dr. Zhou has
been to USA several times to give lectures in
neurology. As a visiting scholar of University of
Michigan and Harvard University, she participated in many research
projects on neurology and neuropsychology. She has been a main editor of
several national medical publications, such as Neurology and Neuroscience.
Dr. Zhou has conducted in-depth studies on the treatment of intractable
neurological diseases, particularly degenerative diseases. Dr. Zhou has
participated in many clinical research projects on aphasia, dementia and
neurosis and has published several groundbreaking papers. Dr. Zhou is
renowned as an aphasia specialist in China.

Her areas of specialization include: Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral


sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis (MS), multiple system atrophy (MSA),
myasthenia gravis (MG), malnutrition, inherited metabolic diseases (IMDs),
such as Batten disease.
Dr. Yang Xiuqing

Dr. Yang has worked as a neurologist for 46 years, and


has accumulated rich clinical experience in this
discipline. Dr. Yang devotes herself to research and the
treatment of common cerebrovascular diseases such as:
headache, seizure disorders (epilepsy) and treatment
most kinds of both common and difficult diseases of the human neurological
system.

From 2000 to 2008, Dr. Yang was posted at Macao Conde de São Januário
General Hospital (CHCSJ) as the Chief Expert of both the medical experts
group and also to appraise medical accidents for the Chinese national
government. Dr. Yang has established a very high reputation as a clinician
and has also trained many doctors and experts in neurology. Dr. Yang has
established herself as a very well-know expert neurologist in China, and is
highly as a senior expert in neurology.

Dr. Ji Ying

From 1990 to 1992, Dr. Ji worked as a clinical


researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill (UNC) in the USA, where he was engaged in
clinical post-doctoral research in brain tumor photo-
chemotherapy. From 1992 to 2011, he worked at the
Penn State University’s Hershey Medical Center as an Associate Professor.
In October 1996, he earned his ECFMG Certification. Dr. Ji developed a
novel stereotactic, minimally invasive brain tumor photodynamic treatment
(PDT) technology during that time. He also built the first brain tumor photo-
chemotherapy clinical treatment platform during this time-frame.

Dr. Ji has held the following prestigious posts: the Vice-Chairman of the
Chinese Tumor Minimally Invasive Treatment Technology Innovation
Strategic Alliances; Group Leader of the Neural Tumor Photodynamics
Group of the Chinese Medical Association and Visiting Professor at
Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.
