to their academicpost and draw salarydue in such respectiveacademic
posts,andwouldnotcontinue to havethe principals'
pay.
(D) Increment
(i) The annualincrement is givenin the Pay Matrixat3%, witheachcell
beinghigherby 3a/ooverthe previouscell in the same level,rounded
off to nearest100. The annualincrements to each employeewould
move up in the same academiclevelwith an employeernovingfrom
the existingcellin the academiclevelto the immediate nextcell in the
sameacademic level.
(ii) The dateof increment
in the revisedpay structure
will be on par with
StateGovernment Employees.
( E) Op ti o n
(i) An employeemay exerciseoptionto remainin the existingscaleof pay
until the date on which he / she earns his / her next or any subsequent
increments in the existingscaleof payor r-rntil
he i she vacateshis/her post
or ceasesto drawpay in that pay scale;Provided that,if an employeedoes
not exercisehis/her optionwithinthe periodspecified below,he / she shall
be deemedto haveoptedfor the revisedscalesof paywith effect from the
01.01.2016.
(ii) The option shall be exercised in writingin the Form as given in
Annexure-ll,within threemonthsfromthedateof issueof thisorder.
(F) Allowances
Allowancessuch as Leave Travel Concessions, House Rent Allowance,
TravellingAllowance,DearnessAllowance,City Compensatory Allowance
etc., shall be on par with the allowances
applicable
to State Government
Employees with effectfrom 01.10.2017.
(G) Aqe of Superannuation
and Re-emplovment
The presentsystemof retirement age shall be continuedi.e. 58 vears
-be for
CollegeTeachersand 60 yearsfor University
Teachers.Thereshall no re-
employmentbeyondthe aEeof superannuation.
(H) Pension.Familvpen-sion.Gratuitvand encashmentof Le,ave,
Ex-qratiacompensationand ProvidentFund
As regards,
the revision
of Pension,
Familypension,
Gratuityandencashment
of Leave,Ex-gratiacompensation and ProvidentFund to the teachersand
equivalentcadresgovernedby UGC shall be as applicableto the State
Government Employees.

(N) Promotion
When an individual gets a promotion,
his new pay on promotionwouldbe
fixedin the Pay Matrixas follows:
On promotion,he would be given a notionaiincrementin his existing
AcademicLevelof Pay,by movinghim to the next highercell at that levei.
The pay shownin thiscellwouldnow be locatedin the new Academicievel
corresponding to the postto whichhe has beenpromoted.lf a cell identical
with that pay is availablein the new level,that cell shallbe the new pay;
otherwisethe next higher cell in that ievel shall be the new pay of ilre
employee.lf the payarrivedat in thismanneris lessthanthe firstcellin the
newlevel,thenthe payshallbe fixedat thefirstcellof thatlevel.
