SAFETY DATA SHEET HB HYDROSAFE 101
EYE CONTACT:
Prompt action is essential in case of contact. Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes while holding eyelids open. Get immediate medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT:
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes without delay. Wash immediately with plenty of water and
soap. Do not reuse contaminated clothing without laundering. Get medical attention if pain or irritation
persists after washing or if signs and symptoms of overexposure appear.
INGESTION:
Do not induce vomiting. If conscious, washout mouth and give 2 glasses of water to drink. Get
immediate medical attention.
INHALATION:
Remove to fresh air and treat symptomatically. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Obtain medical
advice if there are persistent symptoms.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN:
Based on the individual reactions of the patient, the physician's judgement should be used to control
symptoms and clinical condition.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:
This material is not flammable. Use appropriate extinguishing media for surrounding fire.

SAFETY DATA SHEET HB HYDROSAFE 101
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS:
Avoid contact with spilled material. Warn or evacuate occupants in surrounding and downwind areas if
required due to toxicity or flammability of the material. See Section 5 for fire fighting information. See
Section 2 for Significant Hazards. See Section 4 for First Aid Advice. See Section 8 for Personal
Protective Equipment. Notify appropriate government, occupational health and safety and
environmental authorities.
SPILL MANAGEMENT:
SMALL SPILLS: Soak up spill with absorbent material. Place residues in a suitable, covered, properly
labeled container. Wash affected area.
LARGE SPILLS: Spilled material should be absorbed onto an inert material and scooped up. Flush spill
area with water. If slipperiness remains apply more dry-sweeping compound. Contain liquid using
absorbent material, by digging trenches or by diking. Reclaim into recovery or salvage drums or tank
truck for proper disposal. Clean contaminated surfaces with water or aqueous cleaning agents. Contact
an approved waste hauler for disposal of contaminated recovered material. Dispose of material in
compliance with regulations indicated in Section 13 (Disposal Considerations).
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:
Prevent material from entering sewers or waterways. Spilled product may pose a risk to the aquatic
ecosystem if released. If drains, streams, soil or sewers become contaminated, notify local authority.
SAFE HANDLING
Avoid contact with skin and breathing in vapour. Potentially toxic/irritating fumes/vapors may be evolved
from heated or agitated material. Use only with adequate ventilation. Use proper bonding and/or
grounding procedures. Prevent small spills and leakage to avoid slip hazard. Material can accumulate
static charges which may cause an electrical spark (ignition source).
STORAGE
Store in suitable labelled containers. Store the containers tightly closed. Store separately from acids
and oxidizers. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight. Avoid extreme temperatures.
Connections must be grounded to avoid electrical charges.

ENGINEERING MEASURES:
The use of local exhaust ventilation is recommended to control emissions near the source. Laboratory
samples should be handled in a fumehood. Provide mechanical ventilation of confined spaces. Facilities
storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower.
PERSONAL PROTECTION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:
If significant mists, vapours or aerosols are generated an approved respirator is recommended. An
organic vapour cartridge with dust/mist prefilter may be used. In event of emergency or planned entry
into unknown concentrations a positive pressure, full-facepiece SCBA should be used. If respiratory
protection is required, institute a complete respiratory protection program including selection, fit testing,
training, maintenance and inspection.
HAND PROTECTION:
Neoprene, Nitrile or Polyvinylalcohol gloves. Gloves should be replaced immediately if signs of
degradation are observed. Breakthrough time not determined as preparation, consult PPE
manufacturers.
SKIN PROTECTION:
When handling this product, the use of coveralls, a chemical resistant apron and rubber boots is
recommended. A full slicker suit is recommended if gross exposure is possible.
EYE PROTECTION:
When handling this product, the use of safety glasses with side shields is recommended.
HYGIENE RECOMMENDATIONS:
Use good work and personal hygiene practices to avoid exposure. Keep an eye wash fountain
available. Keep a safety shower available. If clothing is contaminated, remove clothing and thoroughly
wash the affected area. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Always wash thoroughly after
handling chemicals. When handling this product never eat, drink or smoke.
Note: These physical properties are typical values for this product and are subject to change.

SAFETY DATA SHEET HB HYDROSAFE 101
STABILITY
Stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage.
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION
Hazardous polymerization will not occur.
CONDITIONS TO AVOID
Avoid excessive heat for prolonged periods of time and incompatibles.
MATERIALS TO AVOID
Contact with strong acids (e.g. sulfuric, phosphoric, nitric, hydrochloric, chromic, sulfonic) may generate
heat, splattering or boiling and toxic vapors. Contact with strong oxidizers (e.g. chlorine, peroxides,
chromates, nitric acid, perchlorate, concentrated oxygen, permanganate) may generate heat, fires,
explosions and/or toxic vapors. Avoid contact with SO2 or acidic bisulfite products, which may react to
form visible airborne amine salt particles.
TOXICOLOGICAL EFFECTS
Symptoms or effects that may arise if the product is mishandled and overexposure occurs are:
Ingestion
Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments. The material is slightly
discomforting to the gastro-intestinal tract. Ingestion may result in nausea, abdominal irritation, pain and
diarrhoea.
Eye Contact
The material is slightly discomforting to the eyes.
Skin Contact
The material is slightly discomforting to the skin if exposure is prolonged and is capable of causing skin
reactions from repeated exposures over long periods which may lead to dermatitis.
Inhalation
Not normally a hazard due to non-volatile nature of product. The vapour/mist is moderately
discomforting to the upper respiratory tract. Inhalation hazard is increased at higher temperatures.
Chronic
Primary route of exposure is usually by skin contact. Prolonged or continuous skin contact with the
liquid may cause defatting with drying, cracking, irritation and dermatitis following. As with any chemical
product, contact with unprotected bare skin; inhalation of vapour, mist or dust in work place
atmosphere; or ingestion in any form, should be avoided by observing good occupational work practice.

Research on Cancer (IARC), the National Toxicology Program (NTP) or the American Conference of
Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH).
ECOTOXICOLOGICAL EFFECTS
The following results are the exotoxicological data for the active substances.
BIOACCUMULATION POTENTIAL
Component substances have a low potential to bioaccumulate.
Hazardous wastes must be transported by a licensed hazardous waste transporter and disposed of or treated in
a properly licensed hazardous waste treatment, storage, disposal or recycling facility. Consult local, state, and
federal regulations for specific requirements.
Empty drums should be taken for recycling, recovery, or disposal through a suitably qualified or licensed
contractor.
