Sonja, CEO T2T Company, needs a 5-8 page memo from you regarding
the HRM Investments, Programs, and People Management Governance
Infrastructure needed to implement across all T2T frontline/work
center operations an “Industry Best” Advanced Work Automation
(AWA) Program. She is keen to hear your professional opinion as a
global business leader on how to design and deliver the new work
ecosystem design, create the needed job structures, build the critical
Investment in People Projects (eg. staffing, training, performance
coaching/management, industrial relations, communications, and
rewards), and “muscle build” the leadership needed to achieve the
AWA Program. She and the SMCG are convinced the financial and
commercial success of “One T2T” can’t be reached without the
successful adoption of this AWA Program.
We want to integrate all the Business Units of T2T but for that we need to bring in a unified
common system integrating all the HRM processes along with reducing the cost that our
organization is currently recurring. In the HQ itself, the number of staff personnel, levels, work
processes and costs haven’t been reviewed in past 15 years. First thing required to integrate an
organization is to know its current status which can be stored globally and where to cut cost
can be known once this data is available to us. Secondly, Work automation will help us drive the
Human resource function financially effective. The HQ staff currently is very labor intensive and
hence we desperately need to invest in technology since no investment has been made on
same since past 10 years and the yearly pace with which industries are adopting automation is
14.37 % indicating us the number of times we are lagging behind those companies for not
implementing it since past decade. Also our HRM processes like strategy formulation, resource
planning and goal setting are currently being done at Business Unit level which leads to
incoherence in the Global strategy and local strategy hence decline in the growth of the
company.
