Academic Requirements

Admission Requirements
 PUP College Entrance Test for Institute of Technology
 Confirmation Documents
 High School Card (Form 138)
 Certification of good moral character duly signed by the high school principal/guidance counselor
of the school last attended.
 NSO authentication copy of birth certificate/Live birth certificate
 Medical Clearance from PUP Medical clinic
 If graduated in previous school year/s, certification from the High School Principal and/or Registrar
that you have never been enrolled in any college or university and that the copy of form 137A has
not been sent to other school/college/university
 If Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) qualifier , duly authenticated/verified copy of the
Certification issued by the Department of Education (CMO no. 15,s. 2003) If ALS A & E Test
qualifier, Certificate of test result and Completion Certificate for secondary level
 Have pass the interview conducted by the Dean or by a committee created for such purpose
Retention Requirements
 No failing grade
 To qualify for a certificate, a student has to finish the one-year certificate requirements including
the 250-hour on-the-job training and the passing of the final actual and written examinations.
 To qualify for an associate degree, a student has to finish the two-year associate requirements
including the 250-hour on-the-job training and the passing of the final actual and written
examinations.
 To qualify for the diploma course, a student has to finish the three-year program requirements
including the 500-hour on-the-job training and the passing of the final actual and written
examinations.
Graduation Requirements
Passing of all the subjects in the curriculum, all the prescribed OJTs, and all the final actual and
written examinations.

PUP iApply generates your ePermit in PDF (Portable Document Format).


Most modern browsers and devices can open a PDF file.

A FRIENDLY REMINDER: Before applying online, make sure that you already have your 2 x 2
inch colored photo with name tag, saved as JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg and filesize is not more than 300
kilobytes) in your computer, USB or device.

PUP iApply for PUPCET now has two (2) major steps: Apply Online and Claim ePermit.
Apply Online
1. Go to the PUP iApply for PUPCET page (http://www.pup.edu.ph/iapply/pupcet.aspx) and read
the information provided.
2. Click Apply Now. This will take you to PUP iApply.
3. Read the service agreement and click the I have read... button to begin your online application.
4. Click the PUPCET icon and answer the pre-application questionnaire to determine if you qualify
for PUPCET, then click Next.
5. Fill up the online form. Type or select the required information in the form and click Next. This
will take you to a page where you can verify the information you have just entered.
 Be sure that the information (particularly your name and date of birth) in the
application must be the same as indicated in your NSO copy of birth certificate.
 Make sure that the e-mail address you will provide in the application is active and correct.
 NOTE: Any misrepresentations (or giving false/incorrect information) in your online
application will automatically invalidate your admission in the University.
6. If the information you have entered is correct, read the service agreement and confirm by:
 Checking the Yes, I have read and understood... box
 Typing your complete name in the Digital Signature, and
 Typing the characters in the Digital Security Code

Click Make Changes if you need to make necessary changes or Next to finally submit your
information.
7. After submission of your registration, allow five (5) working days before claiming your ePermit.
8. Please remember or write down your Reference Number.

Claim ePermit
1. Go to PUP iApply http://iapply.pup.edu.ph and click Claim ePermit.
2. Type the required information and click Submit.
3. After clicking Submit, you may encounter either of the following message from the system:

 Application Successful - If you see this message, click Download ePermit.


Click Save or Open when your browser asks you. This will download your ePermit. Print
your ePermit in color.

 Problem with your Photo - If you see this message, the photo you uploaded did not meet the
proper and required format (please read the Guidelines for ePermit Photo for more
information). Scan a new photo with the correct format and click the Upload Photo button.
This will upload your new photo to the system, which will be reviewed by an Admission
Officer. Please allow one to two (1-2) working days for photo validation. After 1-2 days,
proceed to Step 1 of the Claim ePermit step.

Note: To avoid inconvenience and further delays, please upload a scanned clear copy of your
photo in the correct format as stated in the Guidelines for ePermit Photo.
Guidelines for ePermit Photo
In today’s world, your safety plays a critical role in everyday transaction. This includes not only
your files, documents, gadgets and the like, but also the safety of your identity. An ID photo
helps protect and ensure the authenticity of your Test Permit. PUP iApply lets you upload your
ID photo so that you need not come to the campus personally and you will save on cumulative
expenses (such as transportation fare, food), and time/energy (falling-in-line).
To make your application easy and hassle-free, we recommended that you prepare your ID photo
before applying online.

Required Photo
 2 x 2 inch, colored photo with white background
 Formal pose with collar and no eyeglasses or any accessories that may cover the facial features
 Taken in the past seven (7) days prior to filing of online application
 With complete, readable name tag following this format: First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name
(as indicated in your NSO-copy of Birth Certificate) positioned at the chest
Examples

If your complete name is too long to fit the name tag in 1 line, you can write it in 2 lines

Side shot, top shot (bird's-eye view)

Required File Format


 Your ID photo must be saved as a JPEG file format (.jpg or .jpeg)
 File size must not be more than 300 kilobytes
 You must save your photo in your computer or USB device/drive

2019 Schedule, Requirements, Online
Application and Exam Dates
News PUPCET

Polytechnic University of the Philippines College Entrance Examination (PUPCET) of Sta. Mesa
Branch for academic year 2018-2019 schedule is out.
While other branch and campuses have not yet announced the schedule of their branch’s PUPCET,
the said tertiary entrance test on PUP main campus will take place on October 14, 2017 (Saturday).

The schedule of applications, qualifications and steps are as follows:

Requirements

Students who wish to take the examination should be qualified for the requirements listed below:

 Graduates of the K-12 piloting or those who graduated from K-12 pilot schools who have not
enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after graduation, with GWA of 82%
or higher
 A Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) passer, eligible for admission to college
with an average rating of 82 or higher in its 5 subject areas: Mathematics, Communication Arts
(English), Science, Communication Arts (Filipino), and Araling Panlipunan
 An Alternative Learning System Accreditation & Equivalency (ALS A & E) Test for
Secondary Level passer, eligible for admission to college and has 100 or higher Standard Score (SS)
with Essay Writing of 2 or higher.

All PUPCET applicants must apply online through PUP iApply


(https://www.pup.edu.ph/iapply/)and is only allowed to take and apply the examination in only one
(1) campus once in an academic year. Applicant’s PUPCET result will be null and void if multiple
applications are done by only one applicant.

Application fee could be done:

 Through a LANDBANK Branch which process will take after five (5) working days after
payment before ePermit could be claimed
 Through a PUP Branch/Campus Cashier, where applicant could proceed immediately to PUP
Branch/Campus Admission Services to tag his/her payment.
 Through a LANDBANK ePAyment, (2) two working days after payment online should pass
before applicant could claim the ePermit

Note: PUPCET fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable and ¹ only selected PUP
Branch/Campus accepts onsite payment.

All PUPCET applicants should prepare the following documents prior to their PUP admission:

 Applicant's copy of the PUPCET payment voucher (downloadable from PUP

 Validated payment slip of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) from the
LANDBANK branch
 If payment was made via LANDBANK ePayment / Electronic Payment System:

 PUP Online Payment transaction voucher (downloadable after


successful online application and payment using LBP ePayment / Electronic
Payment System)
 Online Confirmation Receipt from LBP ePayment / Electronic Payment
System
 Original or certified true copy, if lost, of F138 with school dry seal (for senior high school
graduates who have not enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after
senior high school graduation)
 Duly authenticated copy of the PEPT/ALS A&E Test Certificate of Rating, certified by the
DepEd-NETRC-BALS
 School ID (for currently enrolled students) or any valid ID with picture (for previous senior
HS graduates)
