LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS IV

I. Objective:

Interpret data presented in single vertical bar graph.

II. Subject Matter:

III. Procedure/ Learning Activities


A. Drill: Skip Counting by Groups.

Group II- by 5s
Group 3- by 10s
B. Review: Have a review on interpreting data in a pictograph.
Title: Number of Bangus Caught by Fishermen at Punta Biao
Question: What is the title of the pictograph?
What are being compared? Etc.
C. Lesson Proper:
1. Motivation:
Show single vertical bar graph using concrete material (ruler or stick)
2. Presentation:
Present a vertical bar graph with parts.

3. Learning activities:
 Group the pupils into 3 groups .

Group I- Interpret the kinds of books available in the classroom.
Group II- Interpret the number of recipients per grade level in feeding
program
Group III- Interpret the favorite subject of the groupmates.

4. Generalization:
Guide the pupils to give the following generalization by asking:

Why is it called a vertical bar graph?
5. Application:
Let the pupils interpret the data using vertical bar graph by answering the
questions that follows.
