    Information technology is what makes the world small through the

    interconnection of people. People working abroad can communicate their

    families in their hometown. Exchange of ideas between professors and students

    made through online studies. Products from other countries made available

    throughout the world through online business. These are the examples of

    information technology benefits being enjoyed by people.

    Business process reengineering uses the word engineering because of its

    application of science and math to solve technical problems and create new

    systems, products or devices to benefit civilization. Engineering applied to

    business, in finding solution to a business problem through scientific and

    mathematical approaches. Finding ways to make products and services have

    more appeal to customers with limited resources for profit purposes to

    business owners. BPR was introduced to level up businesses towards customer

    satisfaction either in service or product concern. For service concern, the

    efficiency and effectiveness of employees rendering the service. While product

    concern, the affordability and availability of products introduced in the market.

    For service concern, a lot of innovation that was adapted because of the

    presence of information technology. Example the online business, it is a


    product of business reengineering due to information technology. Making

    retailing business more closer to its market instead of having it only in market

    places or malls. A lot of people today are using internet connection that almost

    all things can be searched through it. With so much information that can be

    researched with, you can search information related to your business problem.

    There are business experiences being shared that you can view and assess on

    the similarities of your business problem and how they were able to solve it.

    The latter can be use as scientific evidence especially they were able to surpass

    such obstacle in their business. As a business owner you can tailor fit the

    solution according to your needs especially shared information can only be a

    basis but not as a solution to the problem. It is because you will also consider

    the circumventing events in order to derive to a solution. A lot of this kind of

    business sprouted today because of some reasons. For business owners, they

    don’t need large space to stock their products; they can evade rental fees

    because they can have it in their homes and for delivery a lot of courier services

    to choose from. With this kind of business, another business also survives.

    With the dynamics of market activities, it is information technology that

    collaborate all businesses globally.

    For product concern, innovation and diversification of products became

    rampant nowadays it is because of the presence of technology. Making our lives

    easier in addressing the created demands of our lives. Example the cellular

    phones, more Filipinos now own more than one cellphone. Before we can

    communicate our family members through letters and telephone but it will take
    time and money for the long distance calls. But with the product of

    reengineering the telephone calls was revolutionized. Today we can have two

    options to communicate our family either through text messaging to replace

    snail mail or a call from cellphone which has a lower rate compared to long

    distance calls before. Before we take time to prepare our food but with the new

    products of today instant foods were created to address the other demands in

    life which is time.

    Information technology bridges the gap of the fast paced life of the people

    today. Addressing the market demands and the ever changing needs of the

    people.
