This design note pertains to Design of Spill Through Abutment, Open Foundation, Abutment columns, Abutment Cap, Dirt wall and Return wall for project "DESIGN
AND CONSTRUCTION OF 5X45.00 SPAN (DOUBLE LANE) PRESTRESSED CONCRETE MOTORABLE BRIDGE ALONG WITH FOOTPATH ON ONE SIDE OVER
MANAWAR TAWI ON BULDOH TO DAKKAR ROAD."
1.1 SUPERSTRUCTURE
The superstructure consist of 5 spans of 45m long PSC Box Girder carrying a two lane highway traffic and footpath on one side. Superstructure is resiting on POT
PTFE bearings.
The Substructure of Abutment consist of 2 nos. columns 2m in dia with Rectangular Abutment cap beam on top which supports the dirt wall and return wall in addition
to superstructure.

The Abutment Columns are resting on a open foundation of size 13.5m x 12.2m
