MASTERS OF CEREMONY GRADUATION SCRIPT

MR. SERAPIO:A pleasant morning to everyone who is present at this special event. The end of
everything happens to everyone as the saying goes: “An open door comes when one
closes.”

MS. MACASARTE: Commencement is a word of French origin which means beginning. Indeed,
there is a good reason they call for ceremonies and commencement exercises.
Graduation is not the end. It is the beginning.

MS.MACASARTE:Those feelings will come into a reality on this 27 th day of March as we all
witness the Moving up Ceremony of St. Bernadette College of Valenzuela of Grade
10 students.With the theme:

BOTH: “Ready to Face Life’s Challenges.”

MS.MACASARTE: Ladies and gentlemen, the graduates with their parents.

MR. SERAPIO:May we request everybody to please rise to give salutations for the entrance of
colors by our selected COLT Officers.

MS. MACASARTE:At this moment, let us all pay tribute, honor and glory to our almighty God
through an invocation to be led by Ms. Gracielle Valdez

MR. SERAPIO:Please remain standing for the singing of the Philippine national anthem to be
followed by the School’s Community Song.

MS. MACASARTE:Thank you! You may now take your seats. So to start with, I just want to greet
and acknowledge the people who graced this affair. To our distinguished and highly
esteemed members of the academic community led by the dynamic and supportive
Administrators.

MR. SERAPIO:To the faculty members, colleagues, members of the graduating batch, parents,
guardians, visitors, friends, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant, joyous, lovely morning!
Welcome to the commencement exercise of College of St. Catherine Quezon City

MS. MACASARTE:Today, another history slowly unfolds as we come to an end of the school year
2017-2018. It has been 10 months already that we have witnessed how these little lads and
lasses proved their worth to become a member of this year’s graduation batch.

MR. SERAPIO:And now, to give the Address of petition, may I call on Ms. Michaella B. Umlas from
Senior High School Department. Around of applause, please.

MS. MACASARTE:Thank you so much Ms. Umlas, At this point in time is the presentation of the
candidates for graduation to be led by Prof. Lester B. Ramirez, head of the senior high school
department.

MR. SERAPIO: the confirmation of the graduates will be initiated by our beloved president Dr.
Arlene S.C. Maninding.

MS. MACASARTE: this time around isthe presentation of the candidates for graduation in college
department to be led by Dr. Menandro M. Magculang, Executive dean of College Department to be
confirmed by our president Dr. Arlene S.C. Maninding.

MR. SERAPIO:Thank you very much, Ma’am.Today’s affair is being graced by a special person
whowill in a minute deliver words of wisdom to our young graduates, to the parents and to
everyone here as well.To get to know more about her, Maywe call on the stage our very own
Executive Dean of College Department, Mr. Menandro M. Magculang to do the honors in
introducing our Guest of Honor and speaker.

MS. MACASARTE::Thank you very much for that encouraging and motivating speech, Prof.
CieloAbrenicaBarit.May I please request our dear administrators, Dr. Arlene S.C. Maninding, Dr.
Menandro M. Magculang, and Prof. Lester B. Ramirez to award the certificate of recognition to our
honorable guest speaker. Please allow me to read the contents of the certificate.

MS. MACASARTE: (Read the content of the certificate)

MR. SERAPIO:And now let us proceed to the highlight of today’s special event, the distribution of
certificates. May we request the Administrators and our dear guest of honor and speaker to
distribute the certificates to the 2017-2018 graduates.We would also like to request their parents to
accompany their child as they receive the certificate.

MS. MACASARTE:Let us start with the Accountancy and Business Management Strand headed
by Mr. John Marc Cadiente

MS. MACASARTE:Let us now acknowledge the students who have shown remarkable excellence
in their academics and other school competitions. May I request again the Admins and our guest
of honor to grant the medals, certificates and ribbons to the students who have carved a name for
themselves.

MR. SERAPIO:Congratulations to our awardees, and now to give us a message may we have the
woman behind this year’s Closing Exercise, Our kind president, none other than Dr. Arlene
S.C.Maninding. Let’s give her a round of applause please.

MS. MACASARTE: Thank you so much ma’am for that very inspiring message. This time let us
recite the Alumni Oath to be led by our Alumni Coordinator Mrs. Ma. Socorro Javier.

MR. SERAPIO: The next part of the program is the Pledge of Loyalty to be by Ms. Ruth Ann
Guilalas.

MS. MACASARTE:In every memorable moment of one’s life, there are always songs that will
embody inferred emotions. With a round of applause, let us welcome the graduates for their
graduation song as they sing “_____________” followed by the graduation song of the college
graduates.

MR. SERAPIO:To express the sincerest gratitude in behalf of the graduating batch, let’s welcome
this year’s SHS dept. valedictorian Ms. Kate Lo.

MS. MACASARTE:We owe this special event to our parents who have been very supportive all
throughout our journey and to give tribute to our parents our graduating students prepared a very
meaningful song that animate gratefulness to parents.

MR. SERAPIO:Let’s all sing our School Hymn.
