The USMC implemented the 3 Fire Team concept in rifle squads and continued to push firepower to lower levels through different organizational structures.

The rifle squads were organized into 3 Fire Teams each led by a corporal and equipped with a BAR. Demolition kits and flamethrowers could be assigned at the squad level in the F-Series.

The F-Series focused firepower at the rifleman level but took away strength. The G-Series formalized the Assault Platoon concept to dedicate crews to support weapons while keeping rifle strength. All divisions transitioned to the G-Series by Okinawa.

Scouts
When a Marine Leader sends out a two-man scout team they move with 1 or 2 D6
and may assume a Tactical Stance at the end of their movement. If they are in Line
of Sight of their leader, they can be activated for one Command Initiative without
being in command range.

Blowtorch & Corkscrew

This allows a Leader to order his Flamethrower team and Demolition team to assault
a cave or fortified position with 1 Command Initiative. The Flamethrower team can
move up to 1d6 and fire, then the Marine with the demo charge can move up to 2d6,
post the charge, and move 1d6 away. If the Marine with the satchel charge reaches
the target it is a successful attack. In addition to any damage caused by the
flamethrower and demo charge, a cave opening successfully attacked will collapse
and be sealed. A bunker successfully attacked will have any tunnels/entrances
sealed and cannot be re-manned.
