Activity Breakdown
Skills: division of decimals, percentage of a
whole, fraction of a whole, and multiplication of
decimals.

Materials:
*Egg inserts 1-4 (I’ve placed several per page
for easy copying.)
*Plastic eggs: Enough for groups of two to have 4
eggs. (I have 24 kids in groups of two, so I
need 4x12=48plastic eggs.)
*Candy for eggs (optional)
Directions:
*Copy the eggs inserts 1-4. Cut apart and put
into stacks.
*Put egg insert one into a plastic egg labeled
with a number 1. Do this for as many groups as
you have. (add candy if you wish)
*Put egg insert two into a plastic egg labeled
with a number 2. Do this for as many groups as
you have. (add candy if you wish)
*Put egg insert three into a plastic egg labeled
with a number 3. Do this for as many groups as
you have. (add candy if you wish)
*Put egg insert four into a plastic egg labeled
with a number 4. Do this for as many groups as
you have. (add candy if you wish)
* Copy Egg Hunt submission form for each student
or group.
*Hide eggs ahead of time in large area or hallway
*Explain to kids that they may only find FOUR
eggs and they have to find one egg labeled 1-4.
(I sometimes make it a competition for a prize.)
*Send kiddos on mathematical egg hunt!
