UPSC Syllabus For Mains-
UPSC mains is the next step after UPSC Prelims exam, aspirants who are passed
UPSC prelims exam are allowed to write UPSC mains exam which start after 4 months
from prelims exam.

 In UPSC Prelims exam ,more than 5 lakh aspirants appear and 12000 aspirants are
qualified for UPSC mains only
 UPSC Mains exam consists of 9 papers where 2 language papers are of qualifying
nature and rest 7 paper marks are counted for final merit including Interview marks.
 UPSC Mains exam is subjective type where you have to write answer in long
paragraph format in given word limit where UPSC prelims exam was objective
types in nature with negative marking.
Compulsory English Language Paper.
In this paper UPSC test the basic english knowledge of the aspirants, the questions in
this paper are of 10 the level. You have to score minimum qualifying marks in this
