Quick Start Guide

A PSPDFKit Product
Interface Overview
PDF Viewer sports 4 major interface views, one that helps you deal with files, and three
that allow you to work on specific documents.

࡟࡟ The File Browser, where your documents live, and where you can import PDF docu-
ments into.

࡟࡟ The Document Viewer itself, where you can look at documents, browse them, set
bookmarks, and share pages.

࡟࡟ The Annotation Mode, which offers a Toolbar for various annotation types.

࡟࡟ And the Document Editor, where you can add new pages, rearrange existing ones,
or even export selected pages into new Documents.
File Browser
There are multiple ways you can import or load documents into PDF Viewer, accessible
via the File Browser’s interface. On top, you can see the search function as well as view
options (sorting type, and the toggle for grid and list views)…

…while the bottom tool bar holds the + icon to import documents and the Edit but-
ton that allows you to perform operations with your documents (like renaming or de-
leting them).

You can also import PDF docu-


ments into PDF Viewer via the
Open In… menu of iOS.
Document Viewer
The document viewer’s navigation bar hold tools related to the document that is cur-
rently open and a document tab bar that shows all your open documents.

From left to right, the tools are:

࡟࡟ View Settings ࡟࡟ Search in Document

࡟࡟ Export to Cloud Providers ࡟࡟ Bookmarks

࡟࡟ System Share Menu ࡟࡟ Table of Contents

࡟࡟ Annotation Mode ࡟࡟ Document Page Grid View

At the bottom of the view, on the other hand, you will find the document page naviga-
tion widget, which allow you to quickly jump around the document.

Play around with the View Settings to


find the ideal way for you to look at
documents.
Annotation Tools
The annotation mode—along with the toolbar that holds all the relevant tools—is en-
tered by tapping the first icon in the Navigation Bar’s icon group. This opens the tool-
bar, seen below, which allows you to quickly access all the available annotation tools
and types:

࡟࡟Text highlighting

࡟࡟Free text annotations and callouts

࡟࡟Notes

࡟࡟Drawing tools (supporting 3rd party stylii)

࡟࡟Shape tool (arrows, boxes, lines)

࡟࡟Multimedia annotations (add/record images, movies or audio)

as well as to access helpful tools:

࡟࡟The eraser and selection tools

࡟࡟Undo/redo functions

࡟࡟The close button to exit annotation mode

࡟࡟The dragging handle that allows you to reposition the toolbar

Quick Tip:

Press and hold a tool’s icon for additional


options, as can be seen in the screenshot
to the right.
Document Editor
In order to access the Document Editor tools, you first need to go to the Document
page Grid View, which you can access via the right-most icon in the navigation bar, and
enter the Document Editor with the icon right next to it.

Once you enter the Document Editor, you will be able to use its tools on whichever
page you have selected, with the tools being:

࡟࡟ Add Page ࡟࡟ Rotate Page

࡟࡟ Delete Page ࡟࡟ New Document from Selection

࡟࡟ Duplicate Page ࡟࡟ Select All/None
