6. Service Engine: * Change the engine oil. * Replace all oil filters, fuel filters, and

7. Front Axel and Steering: * Raise the front wheels off the ground to inspect king
pins, wheel bearing play, oil hub oil levels. Inspect the steering system for excessive   
play or leaks. Inspect springs, U-Bolts, and spring hangers. * Grease king pins with
wheels off ground. * Grease all fittings in springs, tie rod ends, drag link, and       Tire Tread
steering box/column. Depth Record:
8. Transmission and Drive Line: * Check and fill the transmission. * Grease the 32 32
clutch throw out bearing and clutch shaft bushings. Check PTO and transmission for   
leaks. * Grease all of the drive line U-Joints and Slip Yolks. Check for loose or
worn U-Joints, carrier bearings, yolks, or leaking yolk seals. Check transmission
mounts.
9. Rear Axel and Frame: * Check and fill differential housings. Check for leaks,
loose or worn rear suspension bushings, broken leaf springs, and damaged air bags.   
Inspect all cross members, fuel tank mounting, fuel system for leaks, and inspect the
fifth wheel (if equipped), mount bolts, and mounting for cracks, missing or loose
bolts.
10. Brake System: Inspect all brakes according to Federal Regulations. Check            
brake lining and record, check for loose or missing brake springs, rollers, S-Cam    32 32
shafts, and slack adjusters. *Check brake adjuster travel to make sure the level does
32 32
not exceed DOT limits. * Grease S-Cam shafts, S-Cam bushings, and slack
adjusters. ** Adjust b rakes only if necessary. Check air tanks and valves for loose
mounting or cracks. Check air hoses and air dryer.
11. Tires and Wheels: Inspect all tires, record remaining tire tread depth, inflate all

12. Body Mounting and Accessories: Inspect all body mount U-Bolts, tool boxes,   
steps, ICC bumpers, and accessories for proper mounting.
13. Install PM Decal: Install new PM decal on the air filter housing after all of the   
above inspections are completed and safety defects are all repaired.
14. Clean the Truck: Wipe off excessive grease, clean off all grease and dirt marks
