Government bodies. The size of the vessels ranges between DWT 500 tons to
DWT 9508 tons. The vessels consist of self-propelled / self-geared and dumb
barges.

3. Ship repairing Yard and Dry Dock project: the company has acquired approx.
1,27,000 sqm. of land adjoining Dharmatar creek at the mouth of river, Amba
from high seas. The land has been leased on a long term basis.
4. Shipbuilding: SKS (Ship) Ltd. will be going into shipbuilding activities. Initially,
plan to build ships of upto 10,000 Tons DWT is in the pipeline. These ships will
be basically designed for coastal operation for carrying petroleum products,
cement, clinkers, steel etc.

4.1 Overview
Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Limited (SSLL) was incorporated as Private Limited
Company in the year 1988, primarily to own and operate vessels for feedering of
containers between Indian Ports and Internationally renowned container
transshipment ports. It is a part of Transworld Group of Companies, which was
promoted by Late R. Sivaswamy and family. The company started operations in
1993. SSLL is a full fledged Container Feeder Shipping Company in India.
SSLL has tied-up with OEL, UK, for technical know-how, shipping operations and
procurement of business. Company entered into agreement for taking Two
Containers Vessels on lease having a capcity of 1152 teus each from ICICI Ltd.
With this acquisiton company increase the fleet to seven. Company started new
service between Salaah - Colombo - Tuticorin - Cochin. The company is listed at
“The Stock Exchange”, Mumbai
Presently the company has 6 ships, out of which 4 ships namely OEL Aishwarya,
Orient Independence, OEL Trust and OEL Victory are deployed in Coastal and SIP
(Shreyas India Pakistan) Service.M.V.OEL Victory and M.V.OEL Trust is under
Coastal Service and is currently on Kandla, Cochin, Tuticorin-JNPT -Kandla
service. M.V.OEL Aishwarya and M.V.Orient Independence which are on SIP
Service is currently on GTI - Pipavav-Mundra-Kandla-Karachi-Mundra-Kandla-
Pipava-GTI route.

Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Ltd commenced its feeder services on the East
Coast of India with its fleet of seven vessels. It will run two of its vessels- OEL
Aishwarya and OEL Independence from Kolkata to Chennai and vice versa. The
new service will enable cargoes originating from the east coast to be shipped to
the Chennai port and connected to Maersk's US service, named MECL2. Earlier,
the cargoes originating from east coast were diverted to the Colombo port for
transshipment. The new service will make Chennai into a transshipment hub. The
container vessels earmarked for the east coast service can carry 513 TEU
containers. To meet the growing demand for container traffic, Shreyas has
planned to add four more vessels this fiscal at an investment of $100 million.
5.1 Overview
Bengal Tiger Line (BTL) is a Common Feeder Carrier offering container shipping
services connecting transhipment centres to origin ports traditionally in the
Indian Sub Continent also covering Middle and Far East markets.
BTL commenced operation in the Bay of Bengal in 1986 and now employs up to
twenty container vessels both owned and chartered tonnage ranging in capacity
from 600 – 1700 teus. These arrangements include slot exchanges with vessel
operating partners.
5.2 Ownership
Bengal Tiger Line (BTL), now registered in Cyprus, was founded two decades ago
in Hamburg comprising a joint venture between Schoeller Holdings and
Transnaval Schiffahrtsges.mbH & Co.
As the major shareholder, the Schoeller Group is also one of the largest ship
management companies in Cyprus with over 300 vessels under full or part
management and ownership interest in approximately 70 container, multi-
purpose, reefer vessel and chemical tankers.
Transnaval act as BTL’s General Agents from Hamburg, having also managed
other Liner activities to the USA, West Africa and South America over the past 25
years, as well as being experienced Owners of container vessels.

BTL India
Bengal Tiger Line (India) Pvt Ltd was originally established in 1992 as the vehicle
to run the first containerised Berth Reservation Scheme in Madras (now renamed
Chennai).
Handling eight feeder sectors for BTL, and carrying over 330,000 teus of
shipper's owned containers last year, the network has provided commercial and
operational services to the Line as well as inhouse and 3rd party vessel Owners
who have had tonnage on charter to BTL.

Both Partners in BTL are individual vessel Owners and indeed BTL's foundation
was and is as a 'back stop' charterer when markets dictate. Partner vessels
include up to 25 container ships in the 600-2000 TEU range.
New builds and 2nd hand purchase are also part of the company philosophy.
Having pioneered the 'Shuttle' concept in the Bay of Bengal BTL now operates on
9 sectors.

The fleet is a combination of vessels ranging from Bulk carriers, Medium Range
vessels and Aframax’s to VLCC’s. VLCC is the largest Indian Flagship vessel.
Through this wide range of tonnage, the company is able to provide varied and
flexible transportation facilities to our customers.
All the vessels are CAP rated and they undergo regular and stringent monitoring
by our technical superintendents to ensure good maintenance. The average age
of our fleet is about 16 years.
The Company has seen a growth of 36% in income from operations at Rs.
1,122.75 crore during 2006-07 from Rs. 826.25 crore in the previous year (FY
05-06). Its dividend payout increased from Rs. 18.91 crores in 2005-06 to Rs.
22.14 crores in 2006-07 (inclusive of Corporate Tax on Dividend).
