    Over the years, sport has united us from all walks of life. From major international sports tournaments to
    local competition, barriers are removed with friendship, camaraderie, being the result of shared love of a
    pastime which brings people together.

    We are currently facing challenges in the field of sports in the country, due to lack of awareness, appreciation
    and understanding from our community which hinders the development of excellent programs for our
    potential athletes, especially in school sports and physical education program.

    With this in mind, the Gemmalyn Crosby Sports Festival in partnership with YES SPORTS will be
    holding its first ever Sports Summit and will be featuring an exciting panel of speakers from a wide of range
    of industries and organizations in the field of sports to share their experiences, knowledge and insights on the
    development of sports, the challenges and opportunities on and off the field, in businesses and boardrooms,
    communities and homes and most importantly in school sports where grassroots must be cultivated.

    Sports Summit 2018 is about reinforcing our leadership, deepening our perceptions, changing lives, updating
    school sports and physical education programs through the Department of Education, and celebrating
    performance and achievement on the development of sports in the country.
