Re: 112-21 Northern Blvd.

Block 1701, Lot 8
BIN #4596046

Dear Borough Commissioner Lee,

I am writing you to express my deep concerns about the unsafe working conditions at the 112-
21 Northern Blvd. construction site. As you know, the development has already been issued a
partial stop-work order and has been hit with at least eight violations issued related to unsafe
working conditions as of March 2018. The property owners have also been fined over $10,000
for similar violations.

These violations indicate not only a continual flouting of safety regulations but also raise the
question of whether the property owner is permitting construction in flagrant disregard of the
stop work order at the site.

I hope you will join me in continuing to support safe work conditions and to ensure this site —
and all the others across my district and the city — is abiding by the safety regulations
promulgated by your agency, and the laws that the City of New York.

Thank you for your time and your attention on this matter. I look forward to working with you in
the future to protect workers and ensure that all construction projects are conducted in a safe
manner to protect both the workers and the public.

Sincerely,

Francisco Moya
Council Member, District 21
