Read “Pancake Chronicles” and write a 400-500-word essay that analyzes
the text. Along with your analysis, you will recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn? Essentially, you are going to analyze the article and write a reader response essay to the article. Make sure you include in-text citations and a work cited page. Make sure you include a heading and a title. Include an interesting introduction with a sentence that draws your reader’s attention. You will include another sentence in your introduction the gives background information on your topic. You will have a clear thesis that states the incident and how it affected you/lessons learned. You will then list 3 points that you will discuss in your essay. You must have 3 topic sentences, one for each body paragraph. One example in each body paragraph from your life One example in each body paragraph from the readings One sentence in each paragraph explaining/reasoning how the two examples connect in relation to your topic sentence. One sentence in each paragraph explaining/reasoning how the two examples connect in relation to your thesis. Your conclusion will restate your thesis and your main points. Your conclusion will also include a sentence that suggests an opinion or action for your audience. You will also include vocabulary from the list provided. Revise for use of “you” and for grammar and punctuation.
