    INSTALL WELLHEAD {B} SECTION

    1. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT


    2 WALKIE TALKIES
    60 FT RISER SLINGS.
    LIFTING PLATE.
    1" DRIVE IMPACT WRENCH.
    1" SOCKET AND ADAPTER.
    HAMMER WRENCHES AND SLEDGE HAMMER.
    1 1/2" X 3' LONG CHEATER PIPE.
    HYDRAULIC TEST PUMP ASSY (INGRAM CACTUS)
    HYDRAULIC OIL AND RAGS.
    CORRECT RING GASKETS FOR EACH CONNECTION.

    2. SAFETY INFORMATION AND PRECAUTIONS


    HOLD PRE-JOB SAFETY MEETING AFTER COMPLETION OF NIPPLE DOWN 20 3/4"
    BOP.

    ENSURE INTEGRITY OF LIFTING EQUIPMENT.

    ENSURE GOOD SIGNALS AND COMMUNICATION BETWEEN WELLHEAD BOP DECK


    AND RIG FLOOR. - USE WALKIE TALKIES

    CLEAR WELLHEAD AREA WHEN LOWERING WELLHEAD AND BOP COMPONENTS.

    ENSURE IMPACT WRENCH COMPONENTS AND AIR HOSE CONNECTIONS ARE


    PROPERLY SECURED.

    USE CARE AROUND BOP DECK HATCH WHILE COVERS ARE REMOVED. INSTALL
    SAFETY BARRIERS, IF PRACTICAL.

    START WITH A CLEAN AND TIDY WORK AREA AND FINISH THE SAME WAY.

    REFRAIN FROM OTHER OVERHEAD ACTIVITIES AND FROM WASHING DOWN


    WHILE PEOPLE ARE WORKING ON LOWER DECKS.

    3. PROCEDURES
    1. NIPPLE DOWN 20 3/4" BOP AND RISER AS PER PREVIOUS PAGES.

    2. REMOVE OLD RING GASKET AND WELLHEAD TECHNICIAN CLEANS PACK-


    OFF SEAL AREA.

    3. BACK-OUT ALL CLAMP SEGMENTS TOP AND BOTTOM OF "B" SECTION


    AND INSTALL LIFTING PLATE ON TOP. LIFT “B” SECTION & SET ON B.O.P.
    HATCH COVER ABOVER WELLHEAD

    4. ATTACH RISER SLINGS (WHICH ARE SHACKLED TO BLOCKS AND

    LOWERED THROUGH ROTARY TABLE) TO "B" SECTION. RAISE “B” SECTION
    & REMOVE B.O.P. HATCH COVER.

    5. LOWER "B" SECTION THROUGH BOP DECK TO APPROX. 3 FT. ABOVE


    WELLHEAD.

    6. CHECK THAT ALL UPPER AND LOWER CLAMP SEGMENTS ARE BACKED-
    OFF AND CLEAN RING GASKET SEAL AREA.

    7. LOWER "B" SECTION ONTO "A" SECTION ALIGN WELLHEAD VALVES AS


    PER FLOWLINE SCHEMATIC (CONSULT BSP DRILLING SUPERVISOR).

    8. ENSURE "B" SECTION IS FULLY DOWN AND LEVEL.

    9. TIGHTEN BOTTOM CLAMP SEGMENTS UNIFORMLY USING IMPACT


    WRENCH AND AS PER WELLHEAD TECHNICIAN'S INSTRUCTIONS,
    ENSURING THAT THE WELLHEAD REMAINS LEVEL.

    10. TEST WELLHEAD AS PER BSP SPECS.

    11. FIT 4 VALVES TO WELLHEAD ENSURING CORRECT VALVE STEM


    ALIGNMENT

    12. ONCE WELLHEAD INTEGRITY TEST IS ACCEPTED, REMOVE LIFTING


    PLATE, INSTALL RING GASKET AND NIPPLE UP RISER AND 13-5/8” BOP
    STACK AS PER 1-21.
