    INFORMED CONSENT

    Title of Research Project:


    YouTube: An Emerging Form of Broadcast Journalism

    We are conducting a research on how YouTube is affecting the world


    of broadcast journalism. The purpose of your participation in this
    research is to help the researchers discover the advantages and
    disadvantages of YouTube in broadcast journalism. You were selected
    as a possible participant in this study because your knowledge and
    experiences are the qualifications we are looking for.

    If you agree to participate in this research study, the following


    will occur: We are going to video record the whole interview and it
    may take 10 to 15 minutes of your time.

    The records from this study will be kept as confidential as


    possible. No individual identities will be used in any reports or
    publications resulting from the study. All collected data and
    retention method will be given codes and stored separately from any
    names or other direct identification of participants. Only research
    personnel will have access to the files and only those with an
    essential need to see names or other identifying information will
    have access to that particular file. All information to be recorded
    and documented shall be utilized with confidentiality and treated
    with utmost care.

    Your decision whether or not to participate in this study is


    voluntary and will not affect your relationship with the School of
    Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, University of Baguio. If you
    choose not to participate in this study, you can withdraw your
    consent and discontinue participation at any time without prejudice.
