 Seasoned and versatile supply chain leader with twenty-five years of experience and an extensive

ambulances and fire trucks for refineries, vacuum trucks, tractor trailers of all types, dump trucks and
passenger vehicles of all types.

 Managed 35 distribution centers, warehouses, and terminals across North America, maintaining
inventory at economical levels of Raw Materials, Finished Products, and Feedstock for operations.

Equipment Maintenance Division – Executive Consultant 09/2017 to Current
Grant Funding: Working with the Regional Planning Commission, The City of New Orleans, and their NOEMS
Division to secure a $450,000 grant to install an idling mitigation system to lower Green House Gas Emissions,
while reducing fuel usage, and preventing engine damage caused by idling. Continuous Improvement Projects,
successful completion of the Toyota Production System Project totally transforming the Central Maintenance
Garage, while reducing paper handling through the reduction of paper forms, creating Standard Operating

Reports to the VP of Manufacturing. Responsible for complete oversight of materials flow through procurement,
the yard operations and storage, logistics, master scheduling, inventory control, and shipping and receiving.
Create Master Service Agreements. Performs research, create Request for Proposals, submit RFP’s to qualified
vendors, review proposals and award bid to the most cost effective vendor to secure quality on time delivery of
equipment, raw materials or services. Utilize strong negotiation skills to establish contracts to save the company
money, while developing a good partnership with the contractors and vendors. Ensure the contract protects the
company and ensure all equipment comes with warranties and service agreements. Accountable and
responsible for all assigned phases of contractual work for the company and its affiliates for the assigned
projects. Purchase and sale of goods or services that are needed for ongoing operations, ensuring that
Contractor and Owner fulfill their respective contractual obligations, and perform all other activities necessary for
administration of contracts after they are awarded. In depth knowledge of all typical or standard contract
provisions, including provisions regarding warranties, confidentiality, reporting requirements, taxes, indemnities
and insurance provisions to protect the company from any loss. Created a repository of all contracts. Completed
the procurement of complex equipment for the construction of a new plant, as well as organized all of the
logistical aspects and the purchase of the required raw materials for start-up and continued production.

Was recruited to implement a new inventory management system, reducing millions of dollars’ worth of inventory
being maintained in their backroom across Southwest LA. Served as their regional trainer for the new POS
system. This included optimizing their inventory levels and adjusting their truck deliveries, while working with the

CARBO CERAMICS, INC. – New Iberia, LA 1/2014 to

North American Transportation Manager | Logistics Manager Commercial Contracts
Managed the entire transportation function for Carbo’s portfolio of proppant products across North America.
Lead a team of Logistics Analysts, Logistical Coordinators, Shipping Clerks, and Dispatchers providing training,
coaching and motivation. Determined appropriate transportation modes and negotiated rates. Prepared fixed
cost budget and managed expenditures within approved funding. Implemented new Transportation Management
System and GeoMetrix Rail Logistics System. Developed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive business
improvements. Created analytical reports for internal teams (e.g., Deployment Reports, Total Cycle Times,
Transit Times, Vendor Scorecards). Negotiated all rail freight rates with all major carriers and short lines as well
as trucking rates with 80+ companies. Managed these vendor relationships to ensure priority attention, so they

♦ Assisted in establishing an agreement for a new rail storage spur for Carbo’s new plant in Millen.
♦ Audited invoices using SAP and a Transportation Management System; disputed and resolved
discrepancies, an action which saved ~ $500,000 within first 6 months because I’m best when working
under pressure and take pride in being someone you can rely on and save your company money.
♦ Created secure SharePoint site for electronic data management of critical information that includes a
comprehensive set of reports (including archived reporting), templates, insurance certificates, DOT
safety ratings, safety plan manuals, monthly KPIs, master service agreements, and rates.

CARBOLINE COMPANY – Lake Charles, LA 1/2013 to 1/2014


Supply Chain Manager
Oversaw 7 departments, Production Planning and Scheduling, Purchasing, (Logistics & Transportation)
Receiving Warehouse, Shipping and Distribution Center, Hazardous Waste Management, Inventory
Management, and Return Goods, and provided leadership, training, and mentoring to ensure successful
execution of organizational goals. Led procurement, business planning and strategy. Managed union and non-
union employees. Managed O&O expenses, while reducing on-hand raw materials by $10MM within 3 months,
utilizing “turn time method” to identify slow movers. Maintained focus on process analysis, diagnostics and
assessment to optimize performance. Planned and developed many new work processes that produced
substantial efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
♦ Replaced monthly reconciliation with a daily inventory reconciliation process and trained personnel in
multiple departments.
♦ Implemented “Just in Time” manufacturing strategies that reduced raw inventory levels overall by
~$10MM (10% reduction, including associated costs), while freeing up warehouse real estate.
♦ Planned and delivered 5S training to empower Shippers, Receivers, RGA and Material Handlers to
submit inventory improvement suggestions, paving the way to Lean warehouse operations.
♦ Reduced waste through several continuous improvement steps, such as the recycling of paint thinners
versus the prior practice of disposal.

Provided comprehensive and highly specific project guidance across the complete spectrum, from planning
through execution. Completed regular project updates and status reports for the project team. Also assisted with
Environmental Tier II reporting. Maintained critical controlled documents in site’s electronic system. Distributed
information regarding status, compliance, and project modifications. Collaborated with other project team
members and stakeholders to maintain progress, acting to resolve issues and conflicts. Coordinated all
Transportation & Logistics during Demo and Construction.
♦ Tracked Capital Projects ranging from $5MM to $250MM, including a new cogeneration plant.
Produced RFP’s and RFQ’s as needed.
♦ Maintained detailed time tracking on multiple simultaneous projects; approved work hours invoicing and
resolved discrepancies. Communicated regularly with Site Construction Manager regarding actual
spend versus planned budget, as well as any new critical path work delays.

Advanced through increasingly complex roles with ConocoPhillips, accepting growing responsibilities across
multiple operational areas. Successfully completed comprehensive training on five positions in just three years
within the refinery organization. In this role, charged with responsibilities for developing and implementing
individualized training plans for 750 employees, including DOT, Coast Guard, HazMat, and CART training.
♦ Devised Refinery Strike Contingency Plan that strengthened company leverage in contract negotiations.
Trained all salaried personnel to take over refinery operations in the event of a walk-out.

Senior Logistics Manager | Supply Chain 8/1993 to 1/2008


Managed comprehensive product logistics from end to end, including production forecasts and metrics tracking.
Developed contingency plans to handle inventories during unplanned unit outages, as well as planned
turnarounds. Coordinated every aspect necessary to ensure that products were delivered on time in accordance
with all specifications. Assisted Marketing, Operations, and Production groups with forecasting and managing
production levels. Managed every form of transportation with a diverse fleet, including heavy equipment with
both in-house maintenance, as well as outsourced maintenance shops. Reconciled inventory, materials, and
sales in SAP during month-end accounting.
♦ Scheduled activities related to crude oil and NGLs transported or disposed of by trucks, pipelines, ships,
oceangoing barges, and railroads or from tank/terminal storage.
♦ Coordinated turnaround activities for refinery and impacts feedstock, byproducts, and finished goods, as
well as to operations and product quality.
♦ Managed relationships with KCS and UP local train masters, switch crews, and corporate office/sales
reps to ensure that service met plant needs; held them accountable to monthly performance metrics.
♦ Pioneered and organized the Lake Charles Rail Leadership Team that included Sasol, Lyondell, and
PPG to improve relations with rail providers.
♦ Effectively managed $500MM of products, materials, and feedstock inventory annually.
♦ Established, developed and negotiated new contracts with Targa Resources and CITGO for new
pipeline construction and Salt Dome Cavern Restoration to export and import refinery grade normal
butane, isobutene, and propane-propylene mix. Project eliminated trucking costs and avoided seasonal
price fluctuations, reducing O&O costs and maximizing product, material value.
♦ Negotiated rates and terms for all transport companies; developed 5-year long range and monthly
operating plans to ensure that profits were maximized
♦ Created contract that reduced demurrage by $20MM creating Logistics Improvements.
