Sushil Kumar Solanki (born 26 May 1983) is an Indian freestyle wrestler.

Competing in the 66 kg
weight division he won the 2010 world title, a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a
bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Sushil won the gold medal in the 74 kg division at the
2014 Commonwealth Games. Sushil Kumar was born in a Hindu Jat family of Baprola village, near
Najafgarh in South West Delhi. His father, Diwan Singh, was a DTC bus driver, while his mother,
Kamla Devi, is a housewife.

Deepika Kumari
Deepika Kumari (born 13 June 1994) is an Indian athlete who competes in the event of Archery, is
currently ranked World No. 5, and is a former world number one. She won a gold medal in the 2010
Commonwealth games in the women's individual recurve event. She also won a gold medal in the
same competition in the women's team recurve event along with Dola Banerjee and Bombayala Devi.
She was conferred the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sporting award in the year 2012 by
President of India Pranab Mukherjee. In February 2014, she was honored with FICCI Sportsperson of
the Year Award.
Deepika Kumari was born to Shivnarayan Mahato, an auto-rickshaw driver and Geeta Mahato, a
nurse at Ranchi Medical College. Her parents live at Ratu Chati village, 15 km away from Ranchi.
P. T. Usha
P. T. Usha - P. T. Usha was one of India's best-known women athletes. She remained the queen of
track and field for almost two decades. P.T. Usha was fondly called the "Payyoli express" and the
golden girl because of her awesome speed on the track.
P. T. Usha has won 33 international medals including 13 Gold medals in the Asian Games and Asian
Championships.

P. T. Usha received the Arjuna Award in 1984.
She was also awarded the Padma Shree in 1984. In the Seoul Asian games of 1986, Usha won the
Adidas golden Shoe award for the best athlete. P. T. Usha was named the 'Sportsperson of the
Century' by the Indian Olympic Association.
Sachin Tendulkar
When Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar made his test debut against Pakistan as a 16 year old. Born in
Mumbai.
Sachin is one of the most prolific cricketers ever—the first person to score a double century in ODIs,
the only player to score a 100 centuries, and the only one to have amassed over 30, 000 runs in all
forms of international cricket.
Awards:
In addition to the numerous cricketing awards he has won, Sachin is also the proud recipient of
several awards from the Government of India. Arjuna Award (1994).
He was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, India’s highest sporting award, in 1997-98 for his
achievements in cricket.
He was honored with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award in 2014 in recognition of his
spectacular contributions to cricket. He became the first sportsperson as well as the youngest ever
individual to receive the award.
