20 FILIPINO INVENTORS

1. MARC LOINAZ
Invention:
ONE-CHIP VIDEO CAMERA –the 1-chip camera uses a single computer
chip to process the colors the camera sees. Most videos for a Web site
used with a 1-chip camera mainly because the video is compressed in
one-chip camera so it transmits more quickly.

2. ROBERTO DEL ROSARIO


Invention:
KARAOKE (1975) –he developed a sing along system in 1975 and
patented it in the 1080s called sing-along system “Minus-One,”
now holds the patent for the device now commonly known as the
“karaoke machine.”

3. NARCISO MOSUELA
Invention:
SUPERKALAN –it is a stove that can be powered by any
substance that burns. Mosuela of the Filipino province of
La Union invented it and received the Best Design award
from the FAO (Food and Agriculturural Organization) in
1987. Among the substance that can power the
Superkalan are wood, paper, dried dung and leaves,
comcobs and coco shells.
4. FE DEL MUNDO
Invention:
INCUBATOR –is an apparatus used to maintain
environmental conditions suitable for new born
babies. It is used in pre-term births or for some ill
full-term babies.

5. DANIEL DINGEL
Invention:
WATER-POWERED CAR –for more than decades now,
Daniel Dingel has been claiming that his car can run with
water as fuel. Dingel built a car reactor that uses
electricity from a 12-volt car battery to split the ordinary
tap water into hydrogen and oxygen components. The
hydrogen can then be used to power the car engine.
Dingel said that a number of foreign car companies have
expressed interest in his inventions.

6. EDUARDO SAN JUAN


Invention:
MOON BUGGY –it was the car used by Neil Armstrong
and other astronauts when they first explored the moon
in 1969. San Juan reportedly used his Filipino ingenuity
to build a vehicle that would run outside the Earth’s
atmosphere. It was constructed using homemade
materials.
7. AGAPITO FLORES
Invention:
FLUORESCENT LAMP –it’s the most widely used source of lighting the world today.
