Dear Lamenta,
Hanoi is great! Today, I visited a water puppet show. It told
a story about Vietnamese history and its village life in the
past. The show was accompanied by traditional songs and
music. Colourful wooden puppets were operated with long
bamboo poles, much like Sundanese wayang golek. The
difference was that the performance was done over water,
making it soon alive!
Tomorrow, my family and I are going to Hanoi Hilton. It is
not a hotel. It used to be a prison, but now it’s a museum.
You know what? You really have to visit Hanoi someday. Lamenta Sujono
